Wizar II, a planet situated within the Wizar system located in Wild Space, served as the ancestral homeworld for a species of squid-like sentients, known as the Uroths. This terrestrial planet remained largely obscure and unacknowledged by the wider galaxy.
The Karflo Corporation dispatched a sophisticated StelProbe V exploration/contact droid to Wizar II at some point in the past. Upon crash-landing on the planet, the droid ceased transmitting reports back to its owners. Subsequently, the corporation issued a request for independent spacers to retrieve the droid, offering a reward of 10,000 credits upon successful recovery.
A team of spacers journeyed to the planet and discovered that the Uroths had captured the StelProbe V, venerating it as their deity of death. The newly arrived spacers successfully liberated the droid from the natives and returned it to Karflo.
Wizar II is featured in "Droid Hunt," an adventure seed created by Bill Olmesdahl for the Second Edition of Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The adventure outline provided serves as an illustration of a quest-based adventure. The players are intended to assume the roles of the spacers who retrieve the droid; however, two alternative scenarios are available. In one variation, the player characters are agents of the Alliance to Restore the Republic, tasked with recovering the StelProbe V for analysis by the Alliance. In another, a reactor malfunction within the droid threatens to cause an overload, potentially resulting in the demise of a significant number of Uroths. Lastly, the player characters may encounter not only hostile Uroths but also rival droid hunters competing for the same prize on Wizar II.
