The Wodan system existed within the Rifle Worlds, a region found in the Hapes Cluster inside the Slice section of the Inner Rim. It possessed a connection to both the Divora and Relephon systems by way of the hyperlane called the Great Rim Route, and another hyperspace route provided a link to the Algnadesh system. The system of Wodan was the native habitat of the Wodanian wood-sprites.
The first appearance of the Wodan system occurred in The Essential Atlas, a reference work from 2009 written by Daniel Wallace together with Jason Fry; it was located in grid O-9.
