Wodnakki
The Wodnakki was a mythical beast of legend, believed to have originated on the moon of Dxun. It is said that it relocated to the planet Onderon, making its nest on top of the imposing rock formation called "The Dagger". There, it and its offspring spread fear among the people of Dox Piter. Ultimately, Queen Lina and her Royal Guard faced and killed these creatures.
History
This enormous, winged being, often compared to a transformed Skreev, is believed to have come from Dxun, the moon orbiting the planet Onderon. Sometime during the rule of Queen Lina, a considerable amount of time before her death in 3630 BBY, the Wodnakki journeyed from Dxun to Onderon. It then established itself on the rocky peak known as "the Dagger," which stood near the Onderonian settlements referred to as Dox Piter.
The villagers found it impossible to get rid of the Wodnakki, and soon its eggs began to hatch. This resulted in the birth of young Wodnakki, each about the size of a typical humanoid, which started to attack the villages. Upon hearing about the Wodnakki, Queen Lina assembled her Royal Guard and confronted the creatures on top of the Dagger. After many hours of fighting, the Wodnakki and its young were defeated, but only Lina and her wounded officer Deja Nebet survived. The story of this battle became a well-known legend among the people of Onderon in the years that followed.
