Xorao system

The Xorao system existed within the Mezeg sector, situated in the New Territories region of the Mid Rim. In the vicinity of 1 ABY, a Rebel Alliance squad, which included the Human operative Anson Blazer, undertook minor reconnaissance missions in the Xorao system. These missions were part of their investigation into the criminal organization known as the Kalstan gangsters.

Their presence was detected by Kiran Tatch, a Tunroth belonging to the Tunroth Hunters culture, who had no connection to the gangsters. Despite this lack of affiliation, Tatch promptly informed on the Rebels, triggering a chase. The Alliance team had to give up their mission, leaving behind a considerable cache of important gear, and narrowly avoided death before successfully fleeing. About a year later, Blazer referenced the event in a personal note attached to a Task Force on Alliance Security SecuriDex datafile concerning Tatch.

Behind the scenes

Alliance Intelligence Reports, a 1995 resource for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, was the first source to mention the Xorao system. Later, the 2009 reference work The Essential Atlas situated it within grid coordinate M-7.
