Jedi Master Yaddle, as a member of the Jedi Order, carried a lightsaber during the latter part of the Galactic Republic's era. Following the conclusion of the Invasion of Naboo, Yaddle pursued Count Dooku from the Jedi Temple to the LiMerge Power building located on Coruscant. It was there that she uncovered Dooku's clandestine allegiance to the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. Unable to dissuade Dooku from embracing the dark side of the Force, she engaged him in a lightsaber duel for self-defense, but she was ultimately defeated by the Count, who then murdered his former Jedi colleague to demonstrate his fealty to the Sith.
