Diversity Alliance: Young Jedi Knights is a young-adult Star Wars Legends novel penned by Rebecca Moesta and Kevin J. Anderson. It represents the eighth installment in the Star Wars: Young Jedi Knights series, initially released in April of 1997 by Berkley Boulevard. This novel was later included in the compilation Young Jedi Knights: The Fall of the Diversity Alliance published in 1998.
The search is on for Bornan Thul, a person of great interest to many. He is not only the father of a classmate of Jaina and Jacen, but he also possesses crucial information regarding a clandestine coalition that is gaining influence within the New Republic. The young Jedi Knights embark on a galactic quest to locate him, but their efforts might prove futile. The true adversary is about to reveal its deceptive nature, and its identity will be surprisingly recognizable.
In 2005, the appearances of Boba Fett in Star Wars: Young Jedi Knights were subjected to a retcon, reinterpreting them as the actions of Ailyn Vel, Fett's daughter, who had been impersonating him. This retcon was initially presented in the "The History of the Mandalorians" article by Abel G. Peña in Star Wars Insider 80. It was partially inspired by a line within Young Jedi Knights: Diversity Alliance, where Nolaa Tarkona implies that Fett could potentially be female.
