The Yrashu species, native to Baskarn, consisted of sentient creatures with limited technological advancement. These beings, characterized by their large size, bald heads, and green fur covering their bodies, were initially perceived as frightening primates.
The Yrashu possessed extensive knowledge of jungle survival, which they imparted to their offspring through a training ritual known as the momu. During the momu, young Yrashu also learned to craft Yrashu maces utilizing the roots of a massive tree. Their ability to scale the perilous razor trees on their planet further demonstrated their mastery of jungle survival.
Due to their connection to the Force, the Yrashu generally displayed open-mindedness and affection, resorting to violence only when absolutely necessary for survival. Apart from specific groups like the Low Ones, they were typically a forgiving and kind species.
Prior to the Battle of Baskarn, the Yrashu had remained isolated from any space-traveling civilizations. Nevertheless, they were open to establishing relationships, provided that diplomats underwent adoption into their tribe. Their innate aversion to the Galactic Empire stemmed from their perception of its association with the dark side of the Force. In the period preceding the Battle, a faction of Rebels were integrated into a Yrashu tribe and participated in a momu, where they acquired jungle survival skills in accordance with Yrashu traditions. This tribe actively participated in the battle, ultimately achieving victory alongside the Rebels.
