The YT-1200 transport represented a specific model within the YT-series of transports. It was produced by the Corellian Engineering Corporation and bore a striking resemblance to the YT-1210 transport.
Produced by the Corellian Engineering Corporation, the YT-1200 transport shared many similarities with the YT-1210 transport. However, a distinguishing characteristic of the YT-1200 was its utilization of two thrusters. Furthermore, the YT-1200 incorporated a cockpit positioned on its side, a substantial sensor boom extending over the ship's front, and ten distinct points for the integration of optional enhancements and expansions.
Following the initial release of the YT-1200 and YT-1210 transport models by Corellian Engineering Corporation to the consumer market, the YT-1300 light freighter quickly became the preferred choice among buyers. This shift in preference resulted in a significant accumulation of unsold YT-1200 and YT-1210 units for the company. Seeking to improve financial performance, CEC retrofitted the remaining stock with enhanced engines, stronger armaments, a fundamental defensive shields system, and subsequently rebranded these modified vessels as the YT-1250 transport.
