The YT-1210 light freighter, alternatively referred to as the YT-1210 transport, represented a specific class of transport. These vessels were produced by the Corellian Engineering Corporation and bore a striking resemblance to the YT-1200 transport.
The Corellian Engineering Corporation was responsible for the production of the YT-1210 transport, a model exhibiting a strong similarity to the YT-1200 transport. A notable distinction between these two models, however, lay in the quantity of thrusters incorporated. In a parallel fashion, the YT-1210 incorporated a laterally positioned cockpit, an elongated sensor-equipped boom extending over the forward hull, and a series of ten attachment points designed to accommodate supplementary enhancements and extensions.
Following the initial release of the YT-1200 and YT-1210 transport models by Corellian Engineering Corporation to the consumer market, a marked preference emerged among customers for the YT-1300 light freighter. This shift in demand resulted in a substantial accumulation of unsold YT-1200 and YT-1210 units within the company's inventory. In a strategic maneuver aimed at boosting revenue generation, CEC undertook an upgrade initiative, equipping the remaining stock with enhanced engines, more formidable weaponry, and a foundational suite of defensive shields. These enhanced vessels were subsequently marketed as the YT-1250 transport.
