Yve existed as a Filordus, functioning as an independent pilot as the Galactic Republic neared its end during its final years. Because Yve had no specific gender, the male Osten Dal'Nay used it/its pronouns to refer to Yve.
During the time of the Clone Wars, the Cularin Militia employed Yve to provide escort services for the Heroes of Cularin. This group of freelance agents, who were allied with the Militia, needed to travel from the Cularin system to the planet Caarimon located within the Meridian sector. Once they got to Caarimon, the agents came across a Z-95 Headhunter at landing platform A-12 inside the city called Joventusek. Blik, a Shistavanen, had left it there. While the agents looked all over Caarimon for a group of Believers, Yve stayed with the ship. Not long after, Blik returned to take back his starship, which led to Yve and the Shistavanen getting into a starfighter fight close to Caarimon.
Morrie Mullins was the one who came up with Yve, who then appeared in Belly of the Beaast. This roleplaying adventure was a part of the Metatheran Caution trilogy within the Living Force campaign. The players take on the roles of the Heroes of Cularin in the adventure, and they have the choice to accept the Cularin Militia's offer to have Yve go with them to Caarimon.
