Its location was along the Relgim Run, a hyperlane that stemmed from the Braxant Run. The Generis system sat coreward of Zeffliffl along this hyperlane, while the Nam'ta system was located rimward. A small continent existed in the planet's southern hemisphere, featuring salt water seas.
On the planet Zeffliffl, sentient life arose in the shallow seas of a southern continent. This species, known as the Zeffliffl, had a physical appearance resembling clumps of dark green or blue-black seaweed. These beings formed groups characterized by a deep-seated rejection of outsiders at a subconscious level, similar to an allergic reaction.
Prior to 14 ABY, Zeffliffl was discovered by the galaxy, resulting in a degree of familiarity with its native inhabitants, particularly among protocol droids like the 3PO-series protocol droid model. In 14 ABY, a group of Zeffliffl journeyed to Crseih Station, a former Imperial research station that had become a bazaar. They presented a sick member of their species to the Waru, an entity from beyond the galaxy, seeking a cure.
