Zenta was a Chiss female who held the position of Syndic within the Inrokini family during the era of the Galactic War.
As Syndic of the Inrokini family, Zenta governed the Chiss Ascendancy planet of Copero. Demonstrating compassion, she welcomed a powerful Force-sensitive Valss into her House, providing him sanctuary on Copero. This protected him from the potential death or banishment he would have faced otherwise, and allowed him to hone his powers. In the course of the war against Zakuul, Zenta dedicated some time to uncovering the secrets of the Eternal Alliance. In 3630 BBY, she gave refuge to Theron Shan, an Alliance fugitive, on Copero in exchange for intelligence. However, Shan betrayed her trust, aligning himself with Valss, who had experienced a vision foretelling his victory and chose to join the Human. Together, by hacking into Zenta's personal datapad, they pilfered the location of a holomap that revealed the whereabouts of a superweapon belonging to the Sith Emperor Vitiate, a secret long guarded on Copero.

Following this betrayal, they deserted Zenta, taking her elite warriors with them, leaving her to face the joint Ascendancy-Alliance team sent by Aristocra Saganu of the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force to address the rogue Syndic. Within the Inrokini Stronghold, Raina Temple and the Alliance Commander confronted Zenta, ultimately subduing her. Zenta then revealed that she had been deceived by Shan, just as they had been. As the Commander prepared to continue their pursuit, having obtained Shan's location, Saganu insisted on Zenta's execution, stating that any agreement between the Alliance and the Ascendancy hinged on it.
Zenta is a character featured in Star Wars: The Old Republic as the second boss encountered in the flashpoint "A Traitor Among the Chiss." Players are presented with a choice: return Zenta to House Inrokini, where she will leverage her political influence to retaliate against the Aristocra; imprison her at the Alliance base on Odessen, a move that will enrage other Chiss families and anger Saganu; or execute her, resulting in the Ascendancy publicly blaming the Alliance, while Saganu privately expresses his gratitude and offers his support.
