Zu Pike was an Epicanthix female, and also the fraternal twin of Zan Pike. A distinguishing feature between them was the difference in their eyes; Zan had green eyes, while Zu possessed one green eye and one blue eye.
The Pike twins came into the world in 23 BBY. Their father was Dux Pike, a well-known Teräs Käsi combatant. He passed away when they were very young, right before the Clone Wars began. Their mother, a noblewoman hailing from Bunduki, entrusted her young daughters to the Followers of Palawa for their upbringing and education.
Eventually, both Zan and Zu achieved mastery in Teräs Käsi, becoming highly skilled criminals available for hire. They participated in underground fighting competitions throughout the galaxy. In 3 ABY, Xizor enlisted them to work for Black Sun. After Xizor's demise, they began working for Spinda Caveel, who tasked them with acquiring A-OIC, and subsequently, with retrieving both A-OIC and the Human replica droid Guri. During this later mission, they crossed paths with the Heroes of Yavin. Realizing the situation was unfavorable, they chose to abandon their employment with Caveel. When Caveel brandished his blaster to force them to continue, they eliminated him.
Zu piloted the Steel Hand, a starfighter designed for two occupants, with her sister riding as a passenger.
