A purple, poisonous gas called Zygerrian crowd-control gas was deployed by the Nihil as a method of incapacitating their adversaries. If one lacked a rebreather, which provided a defense, humans would begin to cough and could lose consciousness in less than a minute. This gas was poisonous and purple.
