08-Z transport

The 08-Z transport represented a specific type of hovertrain transport. These vehicles were produced by the company known as Marmoth Factories. The 08-Zs served the purpose of providing inexpensive transit for laborers, enabling them to commute between their residences and their places of employment. Each 08-Z comprised two distinct carriages: one designed to accommodate passengers, offering seating for a maximum of sixteen people, and the other serving as the operator's station and control center. The engine along with the stabilizers were situated at the front of the passenger car. A sizable grille directed airflow into the vehicle, preventing the machinery from reaching excessively high temperatures.

A specific 08-Z transport was utilized to shuttle tibidon sand whale harvesters who were stationed at Tatooine's Tibidon Station. This service, offered by 9 BBY, was the sole convenience extended to these workers by their employers. Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi Master living in secrecy, was among the regular commuters on this train, as he undertook various short-term jobs.
