Tibidon Station, alternatively known as Sandwhale Farm, functioned as a sand whaling facility on the planet of Tatooine during the Imperial Era. Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi Master living in exile, found employment at this station. His duties included assisting in the butchering of the tibidon sand whale remains as part of the improvised operation. Compensation for a complete shift at the station was a single trugut accompanied by three wupiupi.

The initial visual representation of Tibidon Station occurred in the teaser trailer for the television series Obi-Wan Kenobi, which debuted on March 9, 2022. Its first actual appearance was in the first episode of the series, broadcasted on May 26, 2022. The station's identification was initially made within a StarWars.com article that publicized merchandise related to the series, which was released on June 1, 2022. The designation "Sandwhale Farm" was first used in the documentary titled Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi's Return, which was made available on September 8, 2022.
For the design of Sandwhale Farm, director Deborah Chow and her team drew inspiration from historical whaling stations; this set was her personal favorite. Ewan McGregor, the actor portraying Kenobi, began filming his scenes on this set during the production's first day. Brad Elliott, the propmaster, and Pablo Hidalgo, a creative executive at Lucasfilm, conferred regarding the accurate exchange rate between wupiupi coins, truguts, and credits. This allowed them to determine the price of typical goods in the Star Wars universe and the minimum wage at the whale-carving facility.
