2-M Saber-class repulsor tank

The 2-M Saber-class repulsor tank, alternatively known as the 2-M Hover Tank, represented a specific type of repulsorlift tank deployed by the forces of the Galactic Empire. This vehicle, armed with potent laser cannons, proved highly effective when engaging heavily defended positions; however, its limited speed made it susceptible to attacks from rocket emplacements. The presence of a shield generator provided the Saber-class with unusually strong protection against energy weapons for a ground vehicle. A scout version of the Saber-class repulsortank was also developed, known as the Scout-class 2-M repulsor tank.

Its deployment in combat occurred on the world of Tatooine in the period immediately following the Battle of Yavin.
