327-T, also known by the nickname 327, was a spunky, simpleminded WED-15 Treadwell repair droid who served aboard the Republic Venator-class Star Destroyer Tranquility during the Clone Wars, maintaining many of the ship's systems on board. He survived a series of explosions detonated by Asajj Ventress in the ship's reactor room, but was trapped beneath rubble until recovered by the Jedi aboard, Ahsoka Tano and Luminara Unduli.
327-T was stationed aboard the Jedi Cruiser Tranquility during the Clone Wars, where he maintained a number of its systems. During a Separatist boarding of the vessel to free Trade Federation Viceroy Nute Gunray from Republic capture, 327-T was assigned to patrol duty in the reactor room by two members of Green Company, who mistakenly referred to the droid by his nickname, 327, much to his annoyance.
Soon after, Count Dooku's dark side assassin Asajj Ventress infiltrated Tranquilitys reactor room and planted numerous time-delayed thermal detonators while stealthily evading 327-T's notice, after which she successfully escaped the room through its ventilation ducts. A short while later, Ventress remotely detonated the bombs, prompting 327-T to attempt to avoid the explosion in a panic. The droid avoided destruction, but became trapped by falling debris.
Soon after the explosion, Jedi Master Luminara Unduli and Padawan Ahsoka Tano dueled Ventress in the critically damaged reactor room, and, while tracking her there, sensed the movement of 327-T struggling under the debris by which he was trapped. Initially presuming him to be Ventress, Luminara freed the droid and immediately held him at bay with her lightsaber before realizing her mistake. She then righted 327-T on the ground before continuing pursuit of Ventress. He quickly hurried off to assess the damage to the reactors.
As a WED-15 Treadwell repair droid, 327-T was manufactured by Cybot Galactica, stood 1.24 meters tall, and was equipped with rugged all-terrain treads, fine-focus binocular vision, a telescoping neck, interchangeable tool sockets, dual head-mounted flood lamps, and a database containing millions of mechanical items and repair instructions.
While not a highly intelligent droid, 327-T showed dedication to his duty guarding Tranquilitys reactor room, despite his ultimate failure to do so. 327-T was also somewhat skittish, and detested being called by his nickname, despite the fact that many droids across the galaxy were frequently called by their shorthand name.
327-T first appeared in "Cloak of Darkness," the ninth episode of the canon animated series Star Wars: The Clone Warss first season.
The droid's name is another conspicuous appearance of the digits "327," a recurring number in the productions of George Lucas.
