Ardennia was an Outer Rim Territories astronomical object that was the homeworld of the sentient Ardennian species. The human Juronus Opto and the Wayuning Topi Topi were also native to that celestial body, and the inhabitants of Ardennia held repeated events known as Mynock roasts. The latter fact was known to the Ardennian pilot and thief Rio Durant, who hailed from Ardennia as well.
Ardennia was a terrestrial celestial body located in the regions known as the Outer Rim Territories and the New Territories. Situated within grid square K-6 of the Standard Galactic Grid, it was connected via a hyperspace route to the Carlac system as well as the Mid Rim astronomical object Orinda. Ardennia also shared its name with the Ardennian Guild of Technicians that was active during the High Republic Era.
Ardennia's native sentient species, the Ardennians, were already known off-world by 382 BBY. Rio Durant, an Ardennian pilot and thief who had served with the Galactic Republic-aligned Freedom's Sons army during the Clone Wars of 22 BBY–19 BBY, hailed from Ardennia.
In 10 BBY, during an attempted theft of a shipment of valuable refined coaxium from a Galactic Empire 20-T Railcrawler conveyex transport on the planet Vandor, the human Tobias Beckett, the leader of the crew of criminals that Durant was a part of, excitedly declared that their upcoming haul would render that day the best of the Ardennian's life. In response, Durant quipped that he was not sure about that since Beckett had never participated in a Mynock roast event on Ardennia.
Ardennia was also the homeworld of the human Juronus Opto and the Wayuning Topi Topi, which was noted in the postings of bounties issued for them by the time of the First Order occupation of the planet Batuu in 34 ABY. At some point, Ardennia was also mentioned in an entry of an artist's journal dedicated to the Ardennians. The entry was included in a section of the work describing sentient species that originated in wet habitats. The journal was restored, expanded, and displayed at the Graf Archive at some point no earlier than 34 ABY.
Ardennia was the homeworld of the Ardennian species, members of which had four arms as well as prehensile toes on their two feet. The natives of the celestial body also included the human Juronus Opto and the Wayuning Topi Topi. Ardennia's inhabitants repeatedly held events known as Mynock roasts, which the Ardennian Rio Durant once described as "nuts." The events shared their name with mynocks—edible, silicon-based, ergovorous creatures that originated from the planet Ord Mynock and could survive in deep space as well as in planetary surface conditions.
Ardennia was first mentioned in the 2018 Star Wars Anthology Series film Solo: A Star Wars Story.
