The Salient Campaign, alternatively referred to as the Battle of Salient or the campaign at Salient, was a battle spanning several weeks that occurred within the confines of the Salient system during 17 BBY. The military forces of the Galactic Empire, commanded by Moff Wilhuff Tarkin, clashed with Saw Gerrera's Partisans, who in turn were directed by multiple commanders, such as Captain Has Obitt, to lead the insurgent groups on the planets Salient I and Salient II.
