Consolidated Holdings of Preox-Morlana Corporation

The Consolidated Holdings of Preox-Morlana Corporation, or simply the Pre-Mor Authority or Preox-Morlana, was a conglomerate based on the planet Morlana One in the Free Trade sector in the galaxy's Outer Rim.

During the Imperial Era, it was aligned with Galactic Empire, and permitted to enforce jurisdiction on areas with its private security assets. In 5 BBY, the Empire took over the Morlani system and liquidated the Preox-Morlana following an incident on Ferrix.

A rare calamity

After an unsuccessful attempt to gather information about his lost sister in a brothel in the Leisure Zone of Morlana One, Cassian Jeron Andor was followed by Corpos Verlo Skiff and Kravas Drezzer into an alleyway, where an altercation occurred that resulted in the accidental death of Skiff, and intentional murder of Drezzer by Andor. Andor then fled the planet on a Breon Dayvan transport.

Soon after, Deputy Inspector Syril Karn took up the case and began investigating leads, creating a report for Chief Inspector Hyne. However, Hyne ordered Karn to drop the case and instead conjure it as a more heroic accident to minimize any Imperial attention to Preox-Morlana, and to benefit the corporation's public image. Hyne then left for the Imperial Regional Command for a report on Preox-Morlana crime rates. Despite the order to halt the investigation and generate an accident report, Karn decided to continue investigating the case, using different elements of Pre-Mor Security Inspection Team to track down the assailant. After filtering through starship data, Karn learned the suspect had gone to Ferrix, a world under Preox-Morlana jurisdiction but without heavy Pre-Mor presence, and commanded his underlings to search for a Kenari male on the planet.

In a drunken bout of jealousy, Timm Karlo reported Andor to Preox-Morlana, alerting the Inspection Team to his criminal record. Karn brought a woman from the brothel in to verify the suspect, and was later visited by Sergeant Linus Mosk, who joined the investigation with a keen intent of exercising the corporation's authority and power in catching Andor. The two assembled three Corpo teams, setting up an ambush on Ferrix, designating the teams East Team, North Team, and West Team. The Corpos then deployed from their personnel carrier in Mobile Tac-Pods after a less-than-rousing speech from Karn.

Landing in different areas of the settlement, each team spread out to cover more ground. West Team moved to serve a warrant and search the house of and question Maarva Andor, Cassian Andor's adoptive mother, where they learned of the location Andor was meeting with Luthen Rael. Moving out, the Corpos attempted to corner Andor and Rael but were fought and chased through the city. The Corpos also held up Bix Caleen and North-3 killed Timm Karlo as he attempted to approach them. After a narrow escape, the ambush went awry, resulting in the death of multiple Corpos, the destruction of a Mobile Tac-Pod, and civilian unrest.

Following the incident, the Galactic Empire used the debacle as a pretext for the revoke corporative independence and liquidated the Preox-Morlana. All workers were ordered to surrender their comlinks, weapons, and scandocs to the Empire. Mosk and Karn were reprimanded by Imperial Security Bureau Inspector Lieutenant Blevin on Morlana One and told that they were to be dispatched to a transfer center where they would have their personal effects handed to them. Blevin also ordered them to certify confirmation of the official ISB After-action report detailing their involvement in the "Ferrix Incident." Karn himself was further stripped of his duties and left utterly disgraced by his superiors.

On Ferrix, Imperial Security Bureau began to clear damage caused by the fighting during the incident, and clear out guests and furniture from a hotel, which the ISB had requisitioned as their new headquarters.

Imperial transition

The Consolidated Holdings of Preox-Morlana Corporation was undergoing a transition from private to state ownership by the time Maarva's funeral procession was being planned, with some employee remaining at their posts to aid in the transition, including Linus Mosk former partner who still retained their position at night desk at the HQ.

The Consolidated Holdings of Preox-Morlana Corporation was a corporate entity that maintained a degree of independence from the Galactic Empire, but was still ultimately subservient to it. Despite that however, the Empire would encounter several issues when requesting a warrant in areas it operated in due to the Preox-Morlana corporate web.

The Preox-Morlana Authority operated all services for it employees, and required them to have an identification card at all times, so to allow it private security forces to look up details about their background. Through the use of territorial forums where official complaints against the company could be filed once a month as part of it employee engagement, although in reality the organization was aware that they were too intimidated to do so and not even Pre-Mor Enforcement themselves took the forums seriously.

Preox-Morlana maintained the Pre-Mor Authority Security Forces, which were Corporate Tactical Forces that operated across the Free Trade sector and protected its corporate assets. As part of Corporate Tactical Forces, Pre-Mor Enforcement served as part of the Galactic Empire overall defence. It consisted of officers and security employees called Corpos, known colloquially as "Blues." and had a number of checkpoints across the sector.

The Pre-Mor Enforcement utilized armed personnel carriers and Mobile Tac-Pods to transport soldiers to different territories and star systems under the jurisdiction of Preox-Morlana. Pre-Mor Enforcement Sergeant Linus Mosk viewed Pre-Mor Enforcement and other Corporate Tactical Forces as the Galactic Empire's first line of defense, believing that a stronger hand with the planets under Preox-Morlana jurisdiction was needed.

The Pre-Mor Security Inspection team was a special operations team comprised of Pre-Mor officers and Corpos which could be deployed in emergency situations.

The company's logo was written in Aurebesh and consisted of a stylized vertical P and M, the initials of the corporation.

Astrography

Preox-Morlana controlled the Free Trade sector under the Galactic Empire supervision, and was headquartered on Morlana One and Four and had a number of checkpoints across the sector. While Ferrix was under Preox-Morlana control, it was not regularly patrolled, rather being left to its own devices.
