The Free Trade sector, also known as the Morlana sector, or as the Morlana One Sector, was a sector under the control of Preox-Morlana within the galaxy's Outer Rim region. It contained the Morlani system, which was itself home to the desert world of Ferrix. The Galactic Empire used the ambush on Ferrix as a justification to take control of Preox's Morlana's territory. After initially falling as part of Lieutenant Blevin's territory, the sector was placed under Lieutenant Dedra Meero's supervision by Major Lio Partagaz as a reward for her due diligence and its importance to her investigation into the early rebellion against the Galactic Empire.
