Desert manglers were a creature that could be found in the deserts of the Inner Rim planet Sergia. The stormtroopers of the Galactic Empire used the creatures as mounts for their patrols. While on a mission to Sergia, Luke Skywalker and Warba Calip were pursued in a landspeeder by a desert mangler-mounted stormtrooper patrol.
