The Force Adepts, who were also known as Dark Side Adepts, comprised a mysterious Imperial organization of Humans who were Force-sensitive. They carried red lightsabers and wore robes that were colored with black and red hues. Teleportation was within the abilities of the most powerful members of this organization.
When Tyber Zann, Urai Fen, and IG-88 attempted to escape from the cloud city with a cache of Tibanna gas, a contingent of Imperial Force Adepts was sent to Bespin alongside Darth Vader.
Two additional groups of these adepts found themselves stationed on Coruscant. The first group, led by a Master Force Adept, confronted Tyber Zann as he raided Sidious's Imperial Museum. The second group engaged in combat with Silri and her rancor, in addition to Urai Fen. Nevertheless, each of these groups faced defeat.
