Haldeen

Haldeen was a terrestrial planet located in the Haldeen system of the Colonies' Haldeen sector. It was one of the sector's primary worlds. When Earnst Kamiel, the leader of the terrorist organization the Justice Action Network, was captured on the Outer Rim Territories planet Elrood by 1 ABY, he was extradited to Haldeen, where he was sentenced to death by a court of the Galactic Empire.

Kamiel's execution, however, saw a two-month delay as each of the fifty-four star systems in which he had been given the death penalty wished to have him transported to their capital for the carrying out of the sentence. Ultimately, Imperial Moff Gandril ordered the execution to take place on Haldeen itself. Kamiel was shot by a firing squad on the morning of the date 36:10:4, and on the following day, Colonial News Nets issued a news report from Camele, Haldeen informing about the event.

Haldeen was created by Paul Sudlow and first mentioned in the "Galaxywide NewsNets" feature of the eighth issue of West End Games' Star Wars Adventure Journal, which was published in November 1995. The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Haldeen system, and therefore the planet, in grid square M-9.
