The House of Cron was the royal family that ruled the ancient Kingdom of Cron in the Tion Cluster. The House already existed at the time of the Xim Wars when the head of the family, Duke Robeir II, was acquainted with Xim the Despot.
The House of Cron still existed at the time of the Clone Wars. At that time, the Tion Cluster was divided in two states: the Kingdom of Cron and the Tion Hegemony. As the latter had lost its former glory and was only known as a remote backwater region, the House of Cron funded the Allied Tion Historical Society in order to promote the rich history and legacy of the Hegemony.
The House of Cron still ruled the Kingdom of Cron during the Imperial Period. However, the Kingdom became an Imperial client state after the Clone Wars and its territory was reorganized into an Imperial sector known as the Cronese Mandate. The Kingdom of Cron kept a nominal independence but its monarchs had to swear allegiance to Emperor Palpatine. Robeir XXIII was the King of Cron during the Galactic Civil War.
