In the era of the Galactic Civil War, the Galactic Empire employed soldiers known as Inquisitorium hunters, who belonged to the Inquisitorius.
The Imperial Inquisition utilized Inquisitorium hunters, who were not Force users, as Jedi hunters. This organization, composed of Dark Side Adepts, was responsible for hunting down both Jedi and other individuals sensitive to the Force-sensitives.
These combatants wore distinctive black and red padded armors paired with monocle goggles. Their arsenal included blaster weapons alongside vibroswords, and they implemented strategies such as attack pattern Ignimus. Occasionally, Inquisitorium hunters collaborated with Inquisitorium dark troopers.
Following the Battle of Yavin, a contingent comprising Inquisitorium hunters and Inquisitorium dark troopers was dispatched to Mustafar with orders to locate and eliminate the Dark Jedi known as Xos. However, a spacer preemptively ended Xos's life just before the Inquisitorius forces pinpointed his location within the Southern Jedi Ruins.
Inquisitorium hunters existed as non-player characters within the video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game that launched in 2003. This game, developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, was taken offline on December 15, 2011. The addition of Inquisitorium hunters to the game occurred with the release of the Trials of Obi-Wan expansion pack on November 1, 2005.
