The Nautolan female Ksana was born in 30 ABY. During her childhood, she lived in an apartment with her mother, father, and her grandmother, Mother Katlock, on the Outer Rim planet Batuu. By the time of the war between the First Order and the Resistance, Ksana and her family were neighbors with the farmer Julen Rakab and his relatives. At some point, Ksana hid a stash of candy under her bed, of which Rakab learned.
In 34 ABY, Ksana attempted to wake up Katlock for green milk as their family had run out of it. When Ksana was unsuccessful in rousing her grandmother, she visited Rakab's apartment and asked him for some milk. The Nautolan teased Rakab about his disheveled appearance and hungover smell, prompting him to jokingly threaten to tell her mother about the candy stash hidden under her bed. After Rakab handed over a bottle of green milk, Katlock entered the apartment and complained about their conversation waking her up. The elderly Nautolan then waved off Rakab's greeting and escorted Ksana out of the farmer's apartment.
As a young child, Ksana had a bubbly personality and a bright voice. She enjoyed the company of her neighbor, Julen Rakab, trusting him not to tell her mother about her stash of hidden candy. Ksana had beetle-black eyes, pond-green skin, and a pert nose.
Ksana appeared in A Crash of Fate, a 2019 young-adult novel written by Zoraida Córdova.
