Following the Battle of Yavin, Loy Kommas was a lightsaber-wielding Dark Jedi affiliated with the Galactic Empire. In 1 ABY, he was present in the Detainment Facility of the Imperial Fortress on Yavin 4. Meanwhile, the Empire had captured and imprisoned six Rebel pilots in this facility. During the Remembrance Day festivities of the same year, Alliance Starfighter Corps Officer Wedge Antilles employed a group of loyal Rebel spacers to rescue the pilots. The Rebel operatives attacked the prison facility and killed Loy Kommas during the assault. One of the spacers then stole his Dark Jed robe so that one of the Rebel pilots could sneak out of the base in the disguise.
Loy Kommas was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. Loy Kommas was added to the game with the release of the "Game Update 11," published on June 23, 2009, and was present in the game during the Empire Day events of 2009, 2010 and 2011.
