The Minister of War of the Galactic Empire was the head of the government department responsible for matters of defense and war and one of the highest-ranking officials of the Imperial Military. The office's incumbent wore an Imperial officer's uniform with two code cylinders, an Imperial kepi and a rank insignia plaque with five red and five blue tiles.
Colonel Wullf Yularen attempted to convince the incumbent minister of war to drop a planned court-martial against Thrawn. In around 2 BBY the then Minister of War visited the Imperial supply moon to inspect a new starfighter factory, but due to his Lambda-class shuttle being tracked by the Rebel Alliance the factory was attacked by X-wing starfighters, with the Minister being caught in the crosshairs.
