Sometime after the mission to Shu-Torun, General Carlist Rieekan assigned the Wookiee Chewbacca and the protocol droid C-3PO a mission to lure as many Imperial Star Destroyers as possible to the planet K43 and then destroy the planet. The rebels had believed the world to be uninhabited, but Chewbacca and C-3PO learned upon arrival the Kakran species lived on K43, making them change their plans.
