During the Galactic Civil War, a mission was spearheaded by General Leia Organa of the Rebel forces to the planet Shu-Torun. The aim was twofold: to inflict economic damage on the Galactic Empire and to exact vengeance on Queen Trios for her betrayal at Mako-Ta. This betrayal had resulted in significant losses for the Alliance Fleet. The primary objective involved destroying the Spike, the core of Shu-Torun's infrastructure, to reduce the world from a galactic marvel to a simple mining operation, while minimizing casualties.
Queen Trios of Shu-Torun betrayed the Rebel Alliance's fleet to Sith Lord Darth Vader. Subsequently, his Death Squadron launched an attack on the Alliance Fleet stationed at the Mako-Ta Space Docks. Amidst the conflict, Leia Organa and a group of rebels managed to infiltrate Vader's flagship, the Executor, and procure crucial codes that enabled the fleet's escape. Furthermore, Organa acquired schematics detailing the Spike on Shu-Torun.
Following a short period on Hubin, Organa and her team located Admiral Gial Ackbar and Home One. Despite the limited resources available to the Alliance, Organa successfully persuaded them to authorize her sabotage mission. To accomplish this, Organa enlisted Tunga Arpagion on Gralack, the surviving Partisans of Benthic, and accepted Meorti, a rebel technician and skilled slicer, into her ranks.
As the Millennium Falcon drew closer to Shu-Torun, several members of the Central Isopter arrived, disguised as tourists. Organa's team abducted Lord Or-Tar so that Tunga could impersonate him to get close to Trios, allowing C-3PO to scan her eye during a party. While Tunga kept the queen occupied, 3PO successfully scanned her eye. Organa also instructed Tunga to deliver a message to Trios: "she did this." Subsequently, Organa, her team, and the Partisans formulated a plan to attack the spike. Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, and Benthic's Partisans proceeded to the spike to plant explosives. Organa had Tunga pose as Trios while Organa and her team went to the main access terminal behind Trios' throne. Meorti successfully sealed all exits from the Abyssal Rooms and disrupted all communication channels. Trios realized that the rebels were present and plotting something. Skywalker, Chewbacca, and the Partisans piloted the Falcon through the spike's shields and engaged the guards in combat. However, the Partisans decided to inflict damage on Shu-Torun that would be similar to what happened to Jedha.
