The Mustafarian Special was a starfighter maneuver used by the smuggler Lando Calrissian and his droid first mate L3-37 in their starship, the Millennium Falcon. It involved engaging half of a vessel's sublight engines at the highest power possible, which drove the starship into a spiral. Calrissian and L3-37 utilized a Mustafarian Special to forces of Ne'eda's Stalwarts above Hynestia.
The maneuver derived its name from the planet Mustafar, an unstable, fiery world affiliated with the Techno Union's mining operations, the Black Sun criminal syndicate, and Sith who sought eternal life.
