Quillara Adeen, a female Human who fell to the dark side, becoming a Dark Jedi, existed during the era of the Galactic Civil War. In the period following the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY, she stood guard over an ancient Jedi statue located on the jungle moon known as Yavin 4. While stationed on Yavin 4, she encountered and fought a Jedi sent by Matarmeno Krahnn, a Human Jedi adventurer from the city of Tyrena on Corellia. Despite her considerable skills in the Force and her proficiency with a single-bladed red lightsaber, Adeen was defeated by the Jedi she faced, subsequently transforming into a Force ghost shortly after what appeared to be her death.
In the time after the Battle of Yavin occurred in 0 BBY, a Human male Jedi adventurer known as Matarmeno Krahnn found refuge within the riverside city of Tyrena on the Core World of Corellia.
During his stay in Tyrena, Krahnn crossed paths with another Jedi, a rare sight given that the Galactic Empire had nearly eradicated all Jedi by the conclusion of the Great Jedi Purge. As a form of test, Matarmeno Krahnn challenged the Jedi to introspect and embark on a perilous quest to locate various Jedi artifacts throughout the galaxy, as well as to defeat two [Force](/article/the_force-legends]-sensitive individuals: the Mon Calamari Jedi Bre'ano Umakk, and the Human female Dark Jedi Quillara Adeen.
Quillara Adeen, a follower of the dark side of the Force, was well-acquainted with combat. During the Galactic Civil War, Adeen made her home on the jungle moon of Yavin 4, where she served as a guardian of an old Jedi statue situated near the Wayward Jungle region. As the Jedi dispatched by Krahnn approached the ancient Jedi statue, Adeen's physical form materialized in a burst of fiery red smoke, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to vanquish the newcomer in battle. However, despite her mastery of the Force, which included the ability to wield Force lightning, and her skill with a single-bladed red lightsaber, Adeen was overcome by her Jedi opponent. As she succumbed to what appeared to be a fatal death, Adeen spoke her last words, expressing disbelief at her defeat. Nonetheless, she also praised the Jedi for proving their worth and encouraged them to nurture their passion. Subsequently, Adeen transformed into a Force ghost before vanishing in a flash of light.
Quillara Adeen possessed fair, freckled skin, auburn hair, and green eyes. She adorned her lips with black makeup. As a Dark Jedi, Adeen craved battle. Following her defeat at the hands of her Jedi adversary, Adeen was filled with disbelief. Nevertheless, before her disappearance, Adeen acknowledged her opponent's skill and urged them to develop their passion.
As a practitioner of the dark side, Quillara Adeen had the power to use Force lightning. Her skill as a duelist was also evident in her effective lightsaber combat. The ability to transcend death was thought to be exclusive to those who embraced the light side of the Force. However, upon her death, Adeen was able to transform into a glowing blue Force ghost before disappearing into a burst of light.

During her time as a Dark Jedi, Quillara Adeen wielded a one-handed lightsaber with a red energy blade. This weapon, traditional to the Jedi, featured a cylindrical handle housing sophisticated circuits that directed light through a series of crystals. These crystals controlled the blade's size and amplitude. While on Yavin 4, Adeen wore the Cloak of Hate, a black and red garment infused with the dark side. Beneath the cloak, Adeen wore a black formal shirt, black and red lined shorts, and black and red Marauder Reconnaissance Armor boots.
Quillara Adeen appeared as a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game created by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, before its shutdown on December 15, 2011. She was introduced to the game through Game Update 3 on April 29, 2008 as part of a Jedi Robe Collection known as "Master Jedi Cloaks."
Jedi players who interacted with Matarmeno Krahnn in the city of Tyrena on Corellia could accept the collection quest and complete it for the chance to acquire two types of cloaks: the Cloak of Hate and the Shatterpoint Cloak. To finish the collection, players needed to obtain multiple holocrons and lightsaber schematics, and demonstrate their combat skills against the NPCs Bre'ano Umakk and Quillara Adeen, who appeared on Yavin 4.
There may be some ambiguity regarding Quillara Adeen's depiction in Star Wars Galaxies. The quest dialogue never explicitly stated whether she was a mortal being or a spiritual entity. When players interacted with the old Jedi statue on Yavin 4 to summon Adeen, she would materialize in a burst of red smoke and fight the player as a physical entity. Then, once defeated, she would briefly transform into a blue Force ghost before disappearing completely. Based on this brief interaction, this article suggests that Adeen was a living being until her death at the player's hands. Although players could opt not to complete the collection, this article assumes 100% game completion.
The fact that Quillara Adeen, a Dark Jedi, could become a Force ghost might seem to present a continuity issue in the Star Wars Legends continuity. In both the novel and the comic book version of Revenge of the Sith, the spirit of Qui-Gon Jinn tells Yoda that only those aligned with the light side can live on as Force ghosts, a skill unattainable by those of the dark side. However, in Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader, Darth Sidious reveals that the ancient Sith Lords once possessed the ability to "survive death," but this knowledge was lost over time. Furthermore, Exar Kun demonstrated this power.
