Rashi was a human male who lived and worked on the planet Ferrix as a grappler in a salvage yard. In 5 BBY, Rashi was present in the salvage yard when a team of Preox-Morlana Corpos arrived on Ferrix.
Rashi was also involved in the funeral for Maarva Andor as a member of Ferrix's honor guard as well as posing as his coworker Brasso in order to trick the Imperial Security Bureau, which at the time was keeping tabs on him while searching for Andor's son, Cassian. The funeral ultimately broke out into an anti–Galactic Empire riot, in which Rashi participated.
Rashi was a human male who worked with fellow grappler Brasso on the planet Ferrix at a salvage yard. In 5 BBY, while about to go to work, Rashi chatted with Brasso on the way there. Brasso was then stopped by his friend Cassian Andor and began conversing with him; bothered by this delay, Rashi called for him to come and board the tram to depart. Shortly after, Rashi was working at the salvage yard when Andor came to again talk with Brasso. While working, North Team, a team of Preox-Morlana Corpos, arrived on Ferrix on board a Mobile Tac-Pod. Rashi noted that he had not seen Corpos in a while and speculated that they were hunting for someone. Later, when North Team prompted an alarm in the town, Rashi and his fellow grapplers moved into action.
Weeks later, Cassian's mother, Maarva Andor, died after suffering from an illness. Rashi accompanied Brasso to her house in order to help the Daughters of Ferrix organization clean up and remove her body. Rashi walked alongside them as they exited and later returned to the house, where the Andors' droid, B2EMO, was pleased that he had come back. His return prompted the undercover Imperial Security Bureau agent Corv to call for patrols to keep watch on the house as he thought it had been Brasso, whom he described as the "big man" and hoped to capture for information on Cassian. When Rashi emerged from the house the next day, Corv, upon inspecting the man closer, realized that he was not Brasso and he had been tricked, alerting a guard and asking for the manhunt to continue.
Later that day, Rashi was a part of the honor guard that marched down Rix Road during Andor's funeral, stopping at Fountain Square. Prior to her death, Andor had made a holographic message speaking out against the Galactic Empire that was played at the funeral; the message caused the procession to break out into a riot against the occupying Imperial garrison, in which Rashi participated and helped multiple individuals who had been injured. This included the human Wilmon Paak—who had increased the riot's violence by detonating a homemade pipe bomb—whom Rashi and Brasso brought to safety away from the riot; Rashi supported Paak with one arm while carrying Andor's funerary stone under his other. Brasso and Paak subsequently fled Ferrix without Rashi.
Rashi's work attire included orange pants and an orange shirt that he sometimes covered with a white vest. While working, he wore a yellow helmet. Rashi's non-work clothes included light brown shoes, striped blue pants, an orange shirt with a yellow stripe down the sleeves, and a green hat. He also had several tools ready to be used at his waist. At Maarva Andor's funeral, Rashi wore the red uniform of an honor guard with black pants and boots.
Rashi first appeared in "Kassa," the first episode of the live-action Disney+ series Andors first season, which was released on September 21, 2022. He was portrayed by Victor Perez.
