The Redbird medal was bestowed upon all military members of the Alliance to Restore the Republic who sustained injuries during combat operations. This award featured the Rebel Alliance starbird emblem, supported by a red ribbon that had white stripes along its edges. The Redbird award could be given more than once to an individual; each subsequent award was denoted by a small starbird pin, positioned vertically at the ribbon's center.
