Reeksa

Reeksa was a species of carnivorous plant that grew on the Outer Rim world of Iego. The plant survived in low-light conditions at the bottom of canyons by capturing live prey and digesting them. It possessed sharpened spikes for teeth and deadly thorns along the edge of its stalks. The reeksa displayed animal-like predatory aggression in its attempts to feed, and was capable of creating utterances akin to those of a snake. Reeksa root was an essential ingredient in the cure for the fatal Blue Shadow Virus.
