Iego, a puzzling planet situated in the Outer Rim Territories at the edge of the known galaxy, was encompassed by a collection of one thousand moons, collectively referred to as the moons of Iego. Notably, at least one of these moons was inhabited by a race of beings known as Angels. During the Clone Wars, the Confederacy of Independent Systems erected a laser field that prevented anyone from departing the planet, but this field was ultimately dismantled by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, thus liberating the Iegoans.
This planet, Iego, resided on the periphery of the known galaxy, and was orbited by a thousand moons known as the moons of Iego, including celestial bodies such as Clepresdan, Cobarb, Flitrude, Millius Prime, Rawnde, Uncovalor, and [Winlion]. The world and its moons were each shrouded in mystery. Iego was a vibrant hub of life, featuring both hot and temperate climates, characterized by tropical, humid, and steamy conditions. Its desert landscape was adorned with basaltic spires and canyons, where reeksa – immense, ravenous carnivorous plants armed with sharp spikes for teeth and lethal thorns along their length, known to devour humans alive, and whose roots were the sole source of the antidote to the Blue Shadow Virus – thrived. Iego was also home to xandu, creatures that soared through its skies on four wings, employing their enormous ears to detect prey from afar before seizing them and smashing them against rock formations using their two arms and two legs.
During the period of the Clone Wars, Iego faced an invasion by the Confederacy of Independent Systems, who deployed hundreds of battle droids and abducted Millius Prime from its inhabitants, the Diathim. Subsequently, they established a laser web security measure to confine the inhabitants within the system. The Separatists then abandoned Iego, leaving behind battle droids and vulture droids at Cliffhold. These droids were later reprogrammed by Jaybo Hood to serve as his personal attendants.
Fifty skilled pilots attempted to escape Iego, but all attempts ended in failure. Among those was Taquito, whose demise led the inhabitants to attribute the laser web's existence to Drol, the self-proclaimed "phantom ruler" of Iego. After this situation had persisted for a while, Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi ventured to the planet aboard the starship Twilight in pursuit of reeksa root, the only known remedy for the deadly Blue Shadow Virus, with the aim of rescuing individuals on Naboo who had contracted a re-engineered variant of the disease and were confined within an underground bunker. Kenobi and Skywalker received assistance from a skeptical Hood, who believed they would inevitably become trapped on Iego like the rest of its inhabitants. After venturing into a canyon to confront the reeksa, a carnivorous plant, and secure some root, Kenobi and Skywalker attempted to depart, only to be intercepted by the LaserWeb Defense Station, prompting Kenobi to convince his former apprentice to reverse course. However, with the aid of Jaybo's vulture droids, the two Jedi successfully destroyed the laser system, thereby restoring freedom to Iego.
