The Siege of Saleucami was one of the longest campaigns of the Outer Rim Sieges during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems on the planet Saleucami. Jedi General Quinlan Vos managed to defeat Separatist forces, but after he left for Boz Pity, Stass Allie was killed with the enactment of Order 66 whilst patrolling Saleucami with clone troopers.
During the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems, the sleepy planet of Saleucami in the Outer Rim Territories grew to become a major site of conflict, even being branded as one of the Triad of Evil. When General Grievous sought control of the world, it began a battle between the Republic and Separatists. When it seemed as though Saleucami could return to its peaceful status, Confederate strategists realized it could be used as a trans-shipment base for the Foundry of the Confederacy, launching an invasion of Saleucami that brought widespread fighting to the planet. The Confederacy established a large force on Saleucami and a blockade of starships in orbit.
During the Outer Rim Sieges, fighting broke out between the Republic and the Separatists on Saleucami when Republic Intelligence feared it was being used to hide Separatist secrets, with possibilities including a Separatist clone-soldier program, superweapon development, and work in the field of biological warfare with engineered plagues. The Confederacy's campaign to defend Saleucami was one of the longest of the sieges. Jedi General Oppo Rancisis, Jedi General Quinlan Vos, his troops, Jedi General Stass Allie, and her 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps besieged the planet. Eventually, the Republic was able to defeat the Separatist forces, capturing the planet for the Republic.

Once Saleucami had fallen, Vos moved his forces to Boz Pity, leaving Stass Allie and the 91st to mop up the remains of the droid army. However, while patrolling the world's swamplands on speeder bikes with Allie, Clone Commander Neyo received Order 66 from Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine. This caused his genetically implanted behavioral modification biochip to activate, forcing him and his wingman to open fire on Allie, killing her.
Following the siege, even after the war itself had finished, the clone troopers remained on Saleucami instead of pulling out, enforcing the control of the newly-established Galactic Empire. Saleucami citizens found themselves forced to register for chain codes and had their starships taken away by impound vessels. In order to get offworld on a ship, citizens needed to register for a chain code, which clone deserter Cut Lawquane—who had been warned by deserting Clone Captain Rex that Saleucami was no longer a safe place to hide—learned while trying to get offworld with his family. Nevertheless, with the help of fellow deserters Clone Force 99, the Lawquanes secured fake chain codes, allowing them to leave the planet aboard a Star Commuter 2000.
A Clone Commander leads forces on Saleucami
The Siege of Saleucami was first referenced in Star Wars canon in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. Within the Star Wars Legends continuity, the events surrounding the battle were expanded upon in Star Wars: Republic: Siege of Saleucami, the eighteenth story arc of Dark Horse Comics' Star Wars: Republic series. The "Clone Commander" card art from the Republic Specialists Personnel Expansion, art that was first teased in the "Standing Out" article on Fantasy Flight Games's website, featured a Clone Commander commanding clones on Saleucami during the era of Phase II clone trooper armor. It is unclear if the battle depicted is meant to be the Siege of Saleucami.
According to "Yoda and Other Users of the Force," Stass Allie only took part in the mop-up operations after the Siege of Saleucami, arriving after the Battle of Coruscant with reinforcements meant for the Battle of Felucia, only for her and her troopers to be rerouted to Saleucami. However, the majority of sources list her as taking part in the battle proper. As such, this article assumes "Yoda and Other Users of the Force" is incorrect.
In the non-canon LEGO television series The Freemaker Adventures, the B1 battle droid R0-GR revealed he fought in the siege. Speaking with Wick Cooper, R0-GR claimed to have only gotten through the five month long battle by drinking 30-weight motor oil.
