Lawquane family

The Lawquane family, alternatively known as the Lawquanes, were a family of individuals who engaged in farming on the planet of Saleucami. Cut Lawquane began his life as a clone trooper, but he later deserted from the Grand Army of the Republic following his survival of a Separatist attack that targeted his troop transport during the Clone Wars. The former trooper integrated into the Lawquane family through marriage with a Twi'lek female named Suu Lawquane, and he took on the role of adoptive father to her children, who were human-Twi'lek hybrids named Shaeeah Lawquane and Jek Lawquane. Sometime after the conclusion of the Clone Wars, the Lawquanes abandoned their farm located on Saleucami, due to the rise of the Galactic Empire.

History

Suu Lawquane entered into matrimony with a clone trooper who had gone rogue, and this trooper, known as "Cut Lawquane", then became the adoptive father of her children.

The Lawquane family existed during the last years of the Galactic Republic on the planet of Saleucami, which is situated in the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy. Suu Lawquane, a Twi'lek farmer, was the mother of Shaeeah Lawquane and Jek Lawquane, who were two human-Twi'lek hybrids. In the aftermath of the First Battle of Geonosis, the Confederacy of Independent Systems launched an attack against a Republic troop transport. The clone trooper who would later become known as "Cut Lawquane" witnessed the killing of wounded troopers by Separatist forces, prompting him to flee and desert the Grand Army of the Republic. Having become disillusioned with his previous role as a soldier, Cut married Suu Lawquane and took on the responsibilities of an adoptive father to her children.

During the Battle of Saleucami, while recovering at Lawquane's Farm, Clone Captain Rex discovered that Cut Lawquane was another clone derived from the Jango Fett template. Despite holding contrasting perspectives on freedom and military service, the two clones collaborated to defeat a BX-series droid commandos team. Rex opted to continue his service to the Republic but chose not to report Cut for desertion, allowing him to remain with his family.

The Lawquane family managed to escape Saleucami with assistance from Clone Force 99 after the Galactic Empire assumed control of the planet.

Following the Clone Wars, the Galactic Empire, which had been newly established, began to solidify its reign across various worlds in the galaxy, including Saleucami, where the Lawquanes still resided. Clone Force 99, a squad of genetically defective clone renegades, aided the Lawquanes in their escape from their homeworld after it was occupied by clone stormtroopers belonging to the Imperial Military.

Glen Taffral, a farmer who also hailed from Saleucami, remembered the Lawquanes. Taffral was aware of Cut Lawquane's past as a clone trooper and his decision to prioritize raising a family over continuing to fight in the Clone Wars.
