The Lawquanes were a family of farmers from the planet Saleucami. Cut Lawquane was a clone trooper who deserted the Grand Army of the Republic after surviving a Separatist attack on his troop transport during the Clone Wars. The former trooper became a member of the Lawquanes, having married the Twi'lek female Suu Lawquane and becoming the adoptive father of her children, the human-Twi'lek hybrids Shaeeah Lawquane and Jek Lawquane. After the Clone Wars, the Lawquanes abandoned their farm on Saleucami as the Galactic Empire rose to power.
Suu Lawquane married a rogue clone trooper, who became the adoptive father of her children as "Cut Lawquane."
The Lawquanes were a family that resided on the planet Saleucami—located in the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories—during the last years of the Galactic Republic. Suu Lawquane was a Twi'lek farmer and the mother of two human-Twi'lek hybrids, Shaeeah Lawquane and Jek Lawquane. In the aftermath of the First Battle of Geonosis, a Republic troop transport was attacked by the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The clone trooper who became known as "Cut Lawquane" witnessed the Separatists killing injured troopers and fled, committing desertion by leaving the Grand Army of the Republic. Disillusioned with his former role as a soldier, Cut married Suu Lawquane and assumed the role of an adoptive father to her children.
While recovering at Lawquane's Farm during the Battle of Saleucami, Clone Captain CT-7567 "Rex" discovered that Cut Lawquane was a fellow clone of the Jango Fett template. Despite holding opposite views on freedom and military service, the two clones worked together to defeat a team of BX-series droid commandos. Rex chose to continue serving the Republic, but allowed Cut to remain with his family by not reporting him for desertion.
With Clone Force 99's help, the Lawquanes escaped from Saleucami after the Galactic Empire took control of the planet.
After the Clone Wars, the newly established Galactic Empire consolidated its reign on various worlds throughout the galaxy, including Saleucami where the Lawquanes still resided. Clone Force 99, a squad of genetically defective clone renegades, helped the Lawquanes escape from their homeworld after it was occupied by clone stormtroopers of the Imperial Military.
The Lawquanes were remembered by Glen Taffral, a farmer who was also from Saleucami. Taffral knew about Cut Lawquane's past as a clone trooper and that he chose to raise a family instead of fighting in the Clone Wars.
