Shaeeah Lawquane

During the Clone Wars, Shaeeah Lawquane, a female hybrid of human and Twi'lek descent, was the daughter of Suu Lawquane and the adopted daughter of Cut Lawquane, who had deserted his clone unit. Until shortly after the Galactic Empire came into power, Shaeeah resided with her family on Saleucami.

Biography

Early life

In 26 BBY, Shaeeah Lawquane came into existence as a female hybrid of human and Twi'lek heritage, her mother being the Twi'lek Suu Lawquane. Some time following the First Battle of Geonosis, Suu encountered Cut, a clone trooper who had abandoned his post. Cut and Suu entered into matrimony, which led to Cut becoming the adoptive father of Shaeeah and her younger brother, Jek Lawquane.

The Clone Wars

During the Battle of Saleucami in 21 BBY, Captain Rex sustained an injury from a commando droid sniper. Instead of halting the search for General Grievous, Rex received a bacta patch and was brought to the Lawquane's Farm. Suu permitted Rex to recuperate in their barn overnight. As Suu provided Rex with nourishment, Shaeeah's ball inadvertently entered the barn. Shaeeah pursued it, and upon observing Rex's countenance, she commented on the resemblance between him and her father.

Later that evening, Shaeeah and Jek concluded their meal and ventured outside to engage in recreational activities. While frolicking in the fields surrounding their dwelling, Shaeeah and Jek stumbled upon a Separatist escape pod that had descended from the aerial conflict. They opted to explore the pod, and while within, Shaeeah inadvertently activated the commando droids contained therein. Shaeeah and Jek hastened back to their residence, where they recounted their encounter to their father. After Cut verified the droids' identities, he directed Shaeeah, Jek, Suu, and Rex to seek refuge on the upper floor of the house. Cut remained downstairs to confront the droids. After subduing a significant number of droids, Cut found himself ensnared, and the remaining droids attempted to ascend the stairs. Rex defended the family, while Cut extricated himself and vanquished the remaining droids.

The following morning, Rex had sufficiently recovered to resume his duties. Given the camaraderie they had established, Cut extended an invitation for Rex to remain with the Lawquanes. Rex demurred, asserting that his family resided elsewhere. When Suu inquired whether Rex would betray Cut to the Republic, Rex assented to abstain, feigning amnesia and obliviousness to the situation by citing his injury. Subsequently, the Lawquanes bid farewell to Rex as he journeyed back to his squad on an eopie that they had permitted him to utilize.

Imperial Era

By the time the new Galactic Empire was proclaimed, the patches of pink and blue skin had shifted somewhat. As clone troopers initiated the process of identifying citizens and confiscating vessels on Saleucami, Cut recognized the likelihood of his discovery and formulated a plan to relocate his family off-world. They were soon visited by Rex, and the next day by Clone Force 99. Shaeeah and Jek were thrilled to see their "Uncle Wrecker," and they spent time playing outside with Omega. Eventually, the two children went inside to finish packing and, with the assistance of the Bad Batch, were able to create chain codes and successfully leave the planet.

Legacy

In 4 ABY, Glen Taffral, a Saleucami resident with two sons, Dav and Webb Taffral, who were on opposing sides of the Galactic Civil War, referenced the Lawquane family while teaching his arguing sons a lesson. Glen used Cut Lawquane and his family as examples, instructing his sons to prioritize family over government and set aside their ideological differences, as Cut did during the Clone Wars.

Personality and traits

Shaeeah was a Twi'lek/Human hybrid.

Shaeeah, a hybrid of Human and Twi'lek descent, possessed blue skin with interspersed patches, vibrant pink eyes, a lithe physique, and lekku that extended to her waist. In her childhood, she exhibited a playful and mischievous disposition. She derived pleasure from startling her brother, Jek. She relished outdoor activities, frequently imploring to engage in them. Occasionally, she would play with a levitating ball, which she would inadvertently lose control of and pursue. During Clone Force 99's visit to the family, Shaeeah and her brother cultivated a positive rapport with Wrecker, whom they affectionately referred to as "Uncle Wrecker." Upon Clone Force 99's return following the rise of the Galactic Empire, Shaeeah expressed her excitement at meeting Omega, remarking that they seldom had the opportunity to associate with other children.

Equipment

Shaeeah donned a green dress complemented by a brown belt. Additionally, she sported a brown head wrap with coverings around her lekku.

Shaeeah possessed a diminutive levitating ball, which she would utilize for play and chase.

Behind the scenes

Pablo Hidalgo stated that Shaeeah was always intended to have a human father, although they are not Cut's children, as Cut had not deserted early enough to father Shaeeah. Nika Futterman lent her voice to Shaeeah in both Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: The Bad Batch.
