Webb Taffral

Webb Taffral was a male character devoted to the Galactic Empire, even though he was a failure as a student at the Imperial Academy. He was the older sibling of Dav Taffral, who had become a member of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Several months following the Battle of Endor which occurred in 4 ABY, Webb was at the Taffral house situated on the planet of Saleucami for a family meal together with his father, Glen Taffral, and Dav, who had just returned from serving with the Rebel Alliance. Webb betrayed his brother by revealing his whereabouts to Imperial forces, causing his father to stun him using a blaster.

Biography

Webb Taffral was a supporter of the Imperial regime and had been a student at the Imperial Academy. However, he did not graduate from the institution and, by the time of the rebellion on Akiva in 4 ABY, he was living at the Taffral house located on the planet Saleucami. His father, farmer [Glen Taffral](/article/glen_taffral], resided there with him, while his mother had already died. By that time his younger brother Dav Taffral had enlisted with the Alliance to Restore the Republic, and later also became a member of the emerging New Republic.

During that year, Webb was unhappy when Dav came back to their Saleucami residence a few months after the Battle of Endor. His devotion to the Empire pushed him to notify Imperial forces about his brother's location. During their family dinner, they ate almost silently, until Dav requested a food dish be passed to him. Webb refused, and insulted his younger brother's involvement with the rebellion. An argument started between them, and quickly escalated into a physical fight. Webb initiated the attack on Dav but was intoxicated with koja-rum and could not land a hit. Their fight was interrupted when their father threw a salad bowl at the wall. Glen told them to sit down and explained that family was the most important thing, because governments are temporary.

Glen was soon interrupted by the sound of TIE fighters arriving above the Taffral house. Webb's expression showed guilt, and he confessed that he had revealed Dav's location to the Empire. Glen quickly used a blaster to stun him, and he screamed as his face landed in a bowl of mashed chokeroot. Dav ran away from the house as the Imperials got closer, with help from Glen.

Personality and traits

Webb was a supporter of the Empire and believed that his time at the Academy had improved him. His loyalties conflicted with those of his brother, Dav, who was affiliated with the Rebel Alliance, a revolutionary group that Webb viewed as being full of terrorists. Webb's quick temper made him argue with his brother, which led to a fight that Webb started. He yelled insults at Dav in his anger, which was made worse by his intoxication on koja-rum. Webb's devotion to the Empire led him to betray Dav by revealing his location to Imperial forces, although he felt regret and guilt when the Empire arrived.

Webb was a male character who had a broad-shouldered, full-chested build and a round stomach. His hairline was trimmed short, like his father, Glen. Compared to Webb, Dav looked thin and unkempt.
