Jek Lawquane, a male hybrid offspring resulting from a human and Twi'lek pairing, was the biological son of Suu Lawquane and the adopted son of Cut Lawquane during the period known as the Clone Wars.
Born to Suu Lawquane in 25 BBY, Jek Lawquane's life took a turn sometime after the Battle of Geonosis during the Clone Wars. He and his sister, Shaeeah Lawquane, acquired a stepfather when their mother, Suu, married Cut. Cut was a former clone trooper who had deserted the war effort after losing his squad. The Lawquane family established themselves as farmers on the planet of Saleucami.

In the year 21 BBY, Clone Captain Rex sustained injuries during the Battle of Saleucami while on a patrol mission. Fellow clone troopers Jesse, Kix, and Hardcase transported him to the nearby Lawquane farm for medical attention and rest. Despite reservations regarding clones, Suu permitted Rex to stay overnight, although she attempted to shield her children from the soldiers. While engaged in play within the fields surrounding their residence, Jek and Shaeeah stumbled upon a Separatist escape pod, a remnant of the Battle of Saleucami that had occurred overhead. During their exploration of the escape pod, Shaeeah inadvertently pressed a button, triggering the activation of commando droids stored within. Shaeeah and Jek hastily retreated to their home, where their father, aided by Captain Rex, successfully repelled the droids. Upon Rex's recovery and subsequent departure, he made the decision not to report Cut Lawquane's desertion to the Republic, thereby allowing Jek to remain with his adoptive father.
Later during the Clone Wars, the Lawquanes encountered Clone Force 99, an unorthodox clone commando unit also known as the Bad Batch, who similarly refrained from reporting Cut's desertion.
Following the conclusion of the war and the rise of the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY, the Lawquanes resolved to depart from Saleucami. This decision came after Rex, now a fugitive due to the removal of his behavioral modification biochip, visited their farm to warn them about the emerging Empire and inform them about the chips. The following day, the Bad Batch, having also deserted the Empire, arrived on Saleucami. Jek and Shaeeah rushed into the house to greet the newcomers, and after being welcomed by Wrecker, they were introduced to Echo, a more recent addition to the squad, and Omega, a young clone who had accompanied the Batch when they escaped Kamino. The two children eagerly invited Omega to join them in their playtime.
In 4 ABY, Glen Taffral, a Saleucami resident with sons Dav and Webb Taffral serving opposing sides in the Galactic Civil War, referenced the Lawquane family while teaching his quarreling sons. Using Cut Lawquane and his family as an example, Glen advised his sons to prioritize family over governmental allegiance and set aside their ideological differences, echoing Cut's actions during the Clone Wars.
Jek Lawquane, a male human-Twi'lek hybrid, possessed a height of 0.95 meters, equivalent to 3 feet and 1 inch. He had brown eyes and tan skin. Jek diligently performed his assigned chores and found joy in creating drawings of people and locations he could only envision. The Clone Wars, which caused division throughout the galaxy, initially seemed unrelated to him and held little concern, until he and Shaeeah inadvertently activated several commando droids.
Jek's debut occurred in the 2010 episode The Deserter of the TV series Star Wars: The Clone Wars's, with Kath Soucie providing his voice. The episode's subtitles mistakenly spelled Jek's name as "Jekk." Pablo Hidalgo clarified that Jek was always intended to have a human father, although they are not Cut's biological children.
