Sky-sleds were a type of hovercraft in use on the planet Drogheda during the era of the Galactic Civil War. The Drogheda Royal Guard often used sky-sleds with a small blaster cannon mounted to the front of the vessel. Sky-sleds were especially handy for traversing Drogheda's rugged and mountainous landscape—the Drogheda Citadel, the center of political power on the world, was located atop a sheer cliff and was only accessible by sky-sled. In 4 ABY a popular revolutionary front attacked the Citadel with sky-sleds, leading to the overthrow of the planet's monarchy and paving the way for the installment of a democratic government.
