During the period of the Sith Wars, when the Galactic Republic and the revived Sith Empire were at war, the world of Porus Vida fell under the control of a mercenary armada. This armada had been contracted by the unscrupulous administration of Norulac, a planet in close proximity. The invasion and subsequent capture of the tranquil Porus Vida was orchestrated by Lunatta, a bloodthirsty killer of immense cruelty, who commanded the mercenary forces, thus compelling its capitulation. As recompense, Norulac granted Lunatta leave to plunder an art gallery situated on Porus Vida; from which she absconded with numerous hand-crafted wall hangings to furnish her personal battleship, setting fire to the remainder of the museum's contents.
The Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia, a reference work from 2012 released in conjunction with the 2011 computer game Star Wars: The Old Republic, made reference to the conquest of Porus Vida.
