Porus Vida

Porus Vida, a planet situated within the Inner Rim, was well-known for both its attractive scenery and its rich cultural heritage. Despite being known as a tranquil world filled with museums, Porus Vida experienced battles at various points in its history. This included multiple sieges during the Alsakan Conflicts, and the Imperial Remnant ultimately devastated it in 12 ABY.

History

Inhabited by Humans, Porus Vida was a world adorned with meticulously maintained gardens and stunning museums that showcased its culture. Prior to the Indecta Era, Porus Vida became a member of the Galactic Republic. During the period of the Alsakan Conflicts, it was geographically positioned within the Exploitation Region. During the First Alsakan Conflict, the planet was besieged, and it was again during the Second Alsakan Conflict.

In the time surrounding the Sith Wars between the Republic and diverse Sith factions, Porus Vida was subjugated by a fleet of mercenary forces. These forces had been employed by Norulac, a nearby world. The mercenaries, commanded by the notoriously deranged and murderous Lunatta, successfully seized control of the peaceful planet. As payment, Lunatta was granted permission to plunder an art museum located on Porus Vida.

Eventually, Porus Vida became affiliated with the New Republic and was among the initial planets targeted by Imperial forces following the Imperial Reunification in 12 ABY. Victory-class Star Destroyers under the command of Colonel Ivan Cronus and belonging to the Crimson Command caused widespread devastation to the world.
