Biography

In the year 382 BBY, shortly after his mother's passing, a Pantoran boy found himself within the ranks of the Path of the Open Hand cult and its subsidiary, the Path of the Closed Fist. This occurred during the Night of Sorrow, a conflict that unfolded at the Path compound located on the planet Dalna. Under the leadership of Binnot Ullo, the leader of the Path of the Closed Fist, the boy, along with other Path members, were directed across the battlefield to seek refuge beneath a cluster of fruit trees. Ullo cautioned them about an approaching contingent of attackers advancing from the northern planting fields. He instructed them to eliminate any individuals who were not affiliated with the Path, considering the group too weak to undertake more significant actions.

However, the boy became paralyzed with hesitation and expressed his unwillingness to comply with Ullo's orders. Ullo, however, insisted on his participation, emphasizing that it would glorify the Path and its leader, The Mother. Upon hearing the word "mother," the boy revealed that his own mother had recently died, making it impossible for him to carry out the task. Ullo then argued that his refusal rendered him useless and dishonored his mother's memory. In response, the boy dropped his blaster and began to weep uncontrollably. Ullo then declared to the boy and the rest of the group that they must fight or be considered useless, stating that the time of peace and farming was over for the Path, and now they were being called to fight. Ullo then asked the boy again if he would fight, and the youth repeated that he would not.

Due to his defiance, Ullo retrieved the boy's blaster and handed it to another member of the Path group, Axel Greylark. Ullo commanded Greylark to kill the boy, deeming him worthless and a threat to their cause. Greylark raised the blaster, aiming it at the boy, who was now visibly shocked, but he found himself unable to pull the trigger, despite Ullo's persistent urging. Instead, he redirected the blaster towards Ullo and attempted to fire. However, Ullo had anticipated this move and had removed the blaster cartridge, rendering it inoperable. Ullo then shifted his attention from the boy to Greylark, but an explosion disrupted the group before he could carry out his intentions.
