Unidentified tech stormtrooper (Colossus)

A human male served as a tech stormtrooper of the First Order. In 34 ABY, the tech stormtrooper accompanied Commander Pyre to the supertanker fuel depot Colossus on the planet Castilon to hunt for two orphans from the planet Tehar, Eila and Kel.

They patrolled the Colossus marketplace before encountering Kel and chasing him to the platform's Engineering Level, where they cornered the two children. After the trooper and their companions were deceived into believing the orphans had perished, the stormtrooper left the Colossus to return to base.

Pyre orders the tech stormtooper to chase Kel.

In 34 ABY, a tech stormtrooper was dispatched to the refueling station Colossus—located on the planet Castilon—after Captain Phasma received confirmation that two orphans—the only witnesses to the First Order's actions on the planet Tehar—had been spotted aboard the station. They served under Commander Pyre's command alongside a standard stormtrooper. The trio encountered an alien in the Colossus marketplace, whom the tech stormtrooper interrogated with assistance from Pyre. Their colleague then spotted one of the children, Kel, and the group gave chase on Pyre's command.

The child escaped into a chute with the help of Resistance spy Kazuda Xiono and his friends—the astromech droid BB-8 and mechanic Neeku Vozo. After the group evaded the First Order, Pyre led the tech stormtrooper and his fellow trooper to the chute's exit, where they caught up with the fleeing targets. The First Order fired at the fleeing group with their blasters set to stun. A locked door impeded the chase as the orphan's entourage escaped into the Engineering Level of the Colossus. Although the First Order group cut through the door, the escapees avoided the trooper's fire through another door with assistance from the Chelidae that lived in the Colossuss engineering.

After the First Order blasted through the next door, the trooper accompanied their entourage with their gun drawn as they approached a group of Chelidae protecting Kel and his sister Eila. Pyre then demanded the children come under First Order command or be destroyed, which the orphans refused and seemingly jumped into the waters of Castilon from an open grate. Under Pyre's instruction, the trooper scanned the water and reported slowing life signs and lowering body temperatures. The life signs were in reality those of the Chelidae masking themselves to deceive the First Order while the children safely hid below deck. Deceived into believing the children had perished and thereby satisfied, Pyre reported the success of the mission to Phasma and led the trooper and their companion back to base.

Personality and traits

The tech stormtrooper was a human male. They followed Pyre's commands without hesitation and were calm as they reported the supposed deaths of Eila and Kel.

Equipment

The tech stormtrooper wore standard First Order stormtrooper armor. They carried a macro scope on their back and holstered an F-11D blaster rifle on their right hip. The trooper utilized their blaster's stun setting while pursuing Kel and their macro scope's scanning capability to confirm the orphans' supposed demise.

Prior to the episode's airing, the trooper appeared in the series' extended trailer earlier in the year on September 27, which was posted on the official Star Wars YouTube channel.
