The Attack on Tehar was carried out in 34 ABY by the First Order military under the command of Kylo Ren, where they massacred a village on the planet Tehar. Only two young siblings, Kel and Eila, survived the massacre, escaping by stowing away on a cargo ship.
Eventually, the children reached the Colossus, a fueling station on the planet Castilon. The First Order placed a bounty on the children and sent stormtroopers to the station to locate them after receiving word they were seen aboard the Colossus. Neeku Vozo, Kazuda Xiono, and several Chelidae—residents aboard the Colossus—helped the children fake their deaths and fool the First Order into believing it had successfully erased all evidence of the attack.
The attack was first mentioned in "The Children from Tehar," the sixth episode of the first season of the animated television series Star Wars Resistance, which aired on November 4, 2018. The massacre was first identified as the "Attack on Tehar" in the 2023 reference book Star Wars: Timelines.
