Talk: Sompeetalay

Sompeetalay, welcome!

Hello and welcome to Wookieepedia. I hope you like the place and choose to join our work. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Community Portal talk page or ask me on my Talk page. May the Force be with you! And nice to see a familiar face from What's The Story?! --Azizlight (aka Arf Maul) 22:51, 18 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Formatting

Please list your sources in a separate section, by writing them under "==Sources==". Also, put everyone of your articles in a category. For example, if you make an article about a starfighter, write "[[Category:Starfighters]]" on the bottom. JimRaynor55 22:23, 28 Dec 2005 (UTC)

  • Hi! I'm new to this system of adding stuff, so I'm trying to learn things. It's not always easy, but I'll try. --Sompeetalay 10:04, 29 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Dressing a Galaxy

Since you own this book, could you do some scan uploads, such as Neb Creip and other characters newly named in the book? Also, Wiki has a Cellheim Anujo pic, but there is some confusion. the OWS indicates Cellheim is Tundra's aide, does DaG indicate Celleim is a Senator in his or her own right? Please contact me on this! thxJustinGann 22:07, 29 Dec 2005 (UTC)

  • Hi Justin, I'm sorry but I really don't like scanning 'Dressing a Galaxy'. The book says 'Senator Outfit' with Cellheim, so I'd say he / she is indeed a Senator or a Senatorial aide. Many characters are pictured very small in this book in an index at the end of it. I'm sorry about scanning the book. --Sompeetalay 10:03, 30 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for the Dex's Diner patron info

Hi Sompeetalay, just wanted to say thanks a bunch for helping me track down the patrons of Dex's Diner. Cheers! --Azizlight 00:59, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)

LOL! I LOVE your name, friend. Reminds me when I tried to write down Greedo's speech :D MoffRebus 23:01, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC) You're welcome :p --Sompeetalay 23:47, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)

CCG Entries:

I see your doing alot of the CCG card entries, a few things to keep in mind:

1) make the Sources a link, like this:

Sources

Qi Zhu

Please don't simply clear away all the text for pages you think are wrong. If you have a concern about an article, you can ask a question in the article's talk page. If you think an article doesn't belong in Wookieepedia, you can use the Votes for Deletion process. For crap articles like blatant fanon or vandalism, a Speedy Delete template can be used, and an administrator will delete the article ASAP. Only admins can actually delete pages. I'll put a note in . Also, you can use Template:Canon and Template:Fanon. There are a lot more listed at Wookieepedia:Template messages. -LtNOWIS 20:54, 5 Jan 2006 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the information. I tried to find the 'I object' picture, but I hadn't had a clue how to do it. Sorry about the mess --Sompeetalay 21:01, 5 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Madakor

What is the source of Madakor's 1st name? Please let me know at my talkpage.JustinGann 16:46, 14 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Fire-eyed pillbug

What is the source of the name of the fire-eyed pillbug of Dagobah in ROTS and can you provide a pic showing which critter it is?JustinGann 14:52, 22 April 2006 (UTC) Hi Justin, I must admit I seem to have totally forgotten about it :$ I must have gotten it from the SW Messageboards from Pablo Hidalgo or Leland Chee. Check the Dabobah scene and see what creature isn't accounted for :$--Sompeetalay 19:33, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Typho

Why did you move Gregar Typho back to Typho? I notice you've added a section in the BTS stating his name appears in Death on Naboo, so why the move? That book is canon - Kwenn 15:00, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

  • I made a mistake and forgot to fix it! At first I thought it was fanon, because Typho often got a fanon name. It was only later that I saw the source. My mistake! --Sompeetalay 00:19, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

R2-A1

Is fanon? It didn't seem like nonsense to me, so I just put the fanon tag on rather than deleting it. —Silly Dan 22:35, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

  • There are only 2 Astromech Droids in the Tantive IV. I'm just wondering, where would this guy come from? Since there are no sources, it seems like nonsense to me. --Sompeetalay 22:37, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Userboxes

If you would like any userboxes made just see my talk page. Thanks! --Scwhinky 17:04, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Thanks! I'll think about it :) --Sompeetalay 17:06, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Insider 92

Hey, sorry I didn't get back to you before. Here's the rest of the stuff (mostly that was already known):

  • Unknown to the Rebels but later theorized, the temples were built by Sith followers of Naga Sadow 5,000 years before.
  • Vong destroyed the Great Temple.
  • Rebels used recon-towers because the mists and wildlife were hard for sensors. The towers had retractable stalks so that sentries could enter and exit at ground level.
  • Prennert was on recon-tower four. It was atop an unnamed monument north of the Massassi site. He had a view of the Great Temple, the Temple of the Blueleaf Cluster, and the Palace of the Woolamander.

That's about all the IU stuff. I didn't know about the Fernandin Scouting Expedition in Galaxy Guide 2 before. I'll have to expand that article now! -- Ozzel 00:51, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Corpsey

Just out of curiosity, but why do you want Corpsey to be deleted? I do not see any reason to have it deleted. --Jedimca0 23:23, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Besides, where does the info come from that the mourning Ewok is Romba? A lot of Ewoks look a like, so we must almost be certain about his identity. --Sompeetalay 00:32, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

  • Debbie Lee Carrington played the mourning Ewok, and at Celebration IV it was indicated that Romba was that Ewok. I have a suspicion that whoever determined that (probably Chee) may actually have been mixed up, because I think there are two different Ewoks that look very similar: the Romba on the CCG card and the mourning Ewok.... but anyway, as far as what's in the Holocron is concerned, that Ewok is Romba. -- Ozzel 00:40, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
  • Are you sure that Romba is the mourning Ewok? Has Leland confirmed this? Because he's the only one who can since it hasn't appeared in any of the books. On his blog, Leland stated he tended to stay with the pictures from the Action figures' cards [1] --Sompeetalay. 08:04, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
  • Regarding the renaming of the Corpsey article, I would direct any interested parties to the convenient conjecture tag located directly beneath the article's title. --School of Thrawn 101 08:08, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
  • I stand corrected about the Romba case [2]! --Sompeetalay 08:09, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Blog comments

[3] Interesting. I have some comments on this. 1. You should add the thrantas and thranta riders, both of which the EU canonized (and Wildlife of SW and AOTC evolved into aiwhas!). 2. The "tauntaun" concept art which became the Cracian thumper in WEG also became the rockhopper in Droids cartoons. 3. the Esoomian concept art also became TOTJ's Zexx species. 4. The Tocoyans and "Vodranites" are not only in the CCG, but also in Shadows of the Empire: Evolution. They are among the villains who attack Guri. 5. In addition to CCG, Makurth have appeared in the Darth Bane novel. 6. Bozzie Barada became "Bozzie Baranta" in the Episode I Racer game. 7. About the Ciasi of Tund and Sanhueli of Hueli IV--what is the source of this info? I know these characters are canon, but are their species and homeworlds fanon? I know this is on Wookieepedia, but nobody has been able to confirm a source, despite my requests.JustinGann 03:20, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

  • Well, I must admit it has been awhile since I created that blog entry :) I totally agree with 1-2. I did include the Esoomian. I thought Zexx was an Esoomian. Well, comics aren't exactly my field of expertise :) I must admit I didn't really check any sources on those podracers since they're not in the movies, I care less about them. I'll see what I can find out. --Sompeetalay 08:11, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Naboo Council

Another question for you: you say the current wikia picture of Hela Brandes is NOT her. So who is? Do you have a blog about the councilors with correct pics?JustinGann 21:53, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

  • Sorry Justin. It seemed I made a mistake. It's her allright. I must have confused her with another unnamed person present in the Theed Throne Room. It sure wasn't my best day back in January :p --Sompeetalay 23:20, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

1) in TPM concept art, one of Jabba's slave girls was shown, sort of ferret-looking, with a long tail "for modesty;" this species, while not yet name, was canonized by Wildlife of Star Wars, which showed individuals of this race such as a ringmaster and a senator you can see a pic of the Senator of this race here, standing next to the Twi'lek senator: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/File:Trnb.jpg 2) The lemur people designed (but cut) for ROTS were canonized as natives of Mygeeto in Complete Locations. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mygeetan http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:Mygeetan

Sources

You seem to have access to several sources, and I was wondering if you could please maybe look at this list to see if you have any of the books mentioned (not the novels, I'll get them myself somehow). If you do, couuld you please get to me any information about Darth Vader - in particular his suit - from those sources? Thank you very much for your time. -Solus (Bird of Prey) 02:11, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

  • Dear Solus. From your list I have 'History of the Mandalorians from Star Wars Insider 80', 'Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force', 'The Last of the Jedi: Against the Empire (expecting it)', 'Evasive Action: Recruitment, Prey, and End Game'. There is nothing about Vader's suit in Jedi vs Sith. I'll see what I can do about it. Please send me another message if it takes too long. --Sompeetalay 09:31, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Cal Alder

Hey, Sompeetalay. I'm looking for some confirmation on a bit of information found in the Cal Alder article that I saw you added quite a while back. I'm trying to source the entire article and a source for this sentence eludes me: "During the battle he operated in the defensive perimeter and helped to direct snowspeeder groups." I'm guessing the info comes from "Who's Who in Echo Base" from Insider 74, since that's the only Alder source I don't have. Would you be able to shed some light? Thanks. :) Toprawa and Ralltiir 08:27, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

  • Hello. Yep, it does come from Insider 74. At first I thought the article was bad but later I discovered it had more new info than I had realised. In case of any doubt, please check Yodapedia for more sources. It's in Dutch but the sources are of course in English. Perhaps it might help someday. --Sompeetalay 10:10, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Gherant

Hey again, Somp. Another question for you. I was looking through the Gherant article and a bit of information confuses me: "At the time of the Battle of Hoth, Gherant was a deck officer with the rank of commander, and his duties included controlling access to the Executor's computer core, a position for which he had been personally selected by the command ship's captain, Firmus Piett." The information about the computer core seems to comes from your Gherant blog, which states that his CCG card reads: "This Imperial Navy Commander served as the Deck Officer aboard the Executor during the last years of the New Order. Gherant was hand-picked by Captain Piett, and was responsible for preventing unauthorized access to the Super-class Star Destroyer's computer core."

However, this description does not match the CCG description here: http://decipher.com/starwars/cardlists/dagobah/dark/images/commandergherant.gif

Just wondering where you may have gotten this from so that I may source the article. Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:39, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

  • Hi! Well this is all Decipher's fault. They added Gherant in their Dagobah set while Gherant was never seen in 'TESB'. He was seen in 'RotJ'. So I thought since the other officers of the Dagobah Expansion were set in 3 ABY, why Gherant shouldn't be. Regarding the computer core, I've checked it and I don't know where I got it. It's on Bob Vitas' site as well so I might have gotten it from there. Since there is just one source of Gherant, it cannot come from somewhere else, I guess. I'm going to change it op Yodapedia. I consider it a mistake. Thanks for clearing this up ! --Sompeetalay 23:58, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Cantina Patron pics?

Can you please help get those uploaded for ever ANH patron? I don't have the software for it. Many of them have the times they appear onscreen in the SE DVD. 63.64.127.229 22:34, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

Sergeant Tarl

  • Where is this guy in Return of the Jedi? It's hard for me to identify him. The ROTJ line by line game says he's the stormtrooper who said, "All right move it," (etc, etc) and as the one who led the group that were pummeled by ewoks, and is the only source, albeit unreliable, that tries to identify him in the film. Where is he in the actual film? Can you write an article about him on Yodapedia or something? Thanks. 24.91.192.55 17:22, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

0 BBY on Yodapedia

Hi, I tried editing 0 BBY on your site to add a few deaths, like Torent, Mod Terrik, Mauler Mithel etc. etc., but only screwed up the page. Can you help me fix those mistakes, as well as add those aforementioned deaths? 24.91.192.55 19:55, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

  • I reverted the changes. You don't need to add all these secondary characters. --Sompeetalay 20:33, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
  • Thanks. 24.91.192.55 21:15, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Vandolay

Hello, it's me again, I read your Vandolay article on Yodapedia, and I'd like you to know that from what I've read he also is in Return of the Jedi on the Executor, however I can't identify where I can see him in ROTJ, but then again I also suck at identifying background characters who are obscure. Can you add that info to his page on Yodapedia, and also help me see where I can see him in Return of the Jedi, a screencap if possible? Thanks. 24.91.192.55 20:48, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

  • Hi! It's highly unusual that Vandolay appears in RotJ as well. They would never use the same extra to play the same obscure character twice in the classics. The only sollution is that they have used a frame from TESB to be placed in RotJ of which I'm not aware. So wherever you read this, they're wrong. --Sompeetalay 06:04, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Tenn Graneet

Is he this gunner (http://media.stars.ign.com/media/142/14239819/img_5341670.html)? I know he's this gunner (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/File:Tenn_graneet.jpg), but the camera always changed angles in between those two, so I can't tell whether or not the are the same character or different. Are they in the same room, and the gray wall behind Graneet are lights that flickered on when he pulled the lever, or is it a different room and two different gunners? I would believe they're different, but I can't tell for sure. Also, with Tenn Graneet's CO, is he the first gunner whom we see, the one who pushes the button the control panel when we hear the voice, "Commence primary ignition?" On a movie quotes website, it attributed the quote to the gunner played by Grant McCune, who is the one standing next to the laser with a Death Star Trooper, but I'm not sure whether or not that would be Tenn Graneet's CO. Hopefully you can answer these questions for me, thanks.71.233.247.70 21:51, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Rogua

Was Rogua killed by Luke on Khetanna? The photo of him shows him on the sail barge, plus the Rogua page states that he died on the sail barge in its explosion. Is he that one gamorrean guard we see get struck down by Luke's lightsaber, or is that another gamorrean?

  • Please check Yodapedia. From what I believe, Rogua is the Gamorrean who has duty along with Ortugg. Since we know which Gamorrean Ortugg is, we can assume who Rogua is. This is another prime example of Wookieepedia's 'automatic asuming' behavior. A lot of times there is just no evidence / logic for what is written. --Sompeetalay 08:24, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Ortugg

  • I read your Yodapedia bio of Ortugg, and it mentions that he did not go on Jabba's sail barge, and remained as a palace guard, but his ultimate fate is unknown. This doesn't seem to be the case in Gartogg's story in Tales from Jabba's Palace, the one EU book I've read. After Gartogg told Ortugg that Dannik Jerriko murdered those victims that he discovered without solid evidence, Ortugg gets pissed and tells Gartogg that he'll be going on the sail barge, and when he gets back he'll have Porcellus cook Gartogg as pork, and obviously in the epilogue it is mentioned how Ortugg never returned from the sail barge. How come your YP bio of him says that he remained in Jabba's palace, and is still alive, even when Gartogg's EU story says Ortugg died in the Skirmish at Carkoon? 71.233.247.70 19:30, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Rogua in Gartogg's story

I forgot, was it just Ortugg who went to the Khetanna according to Tales from Jabba's Palace, or did Rogua accompany him? If that's the case, then Rogua was probably killed in the Battle of Carkoon. If you remember well enough, does Gartogg's tale mention Rogua going to the sail barge and never returning, or did it just say that about Ortugg? 71.233.247.70 00:00, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

  • To be honest, I don't know. I need to check this out. --Sompeetalay 07:05, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

KE-829

  • Hey there, a couple of days ago I read in KE-829's talk page that he was not one of the stormtroopers who Obi-Wan snuck past and who were talking about BT-16's, but was instead one of the ones who watched the duel between Obi-Wan and Vader. Would yu know which trooper is really KE-829? 71.233.247.70 20:57, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Koodan vs Herglic

Hello. Back in Demeber you have reflected the fact that Bar-Kooda and Ry-Kooda are confirmed by The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia to be Herglics in their artilces. If you have the book, could you please confirm if Jahnar-Kooda was listed as Herglic as well? If he is, then the name of Koodan can finally be proved to be fanon. Mauser 17:42, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Hi! He has an entry but no species is mentioned. But I think it's safe to assume he's also a Herglic, according to the other Kooda's. --Sompeetalay 20:05, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

TK-119

I tried to edit his YP page earlier because he's a clone, but it got screwed up. If you look at the card, it will say that he is a clone. Oh and btw I also read your pages on DV-523 and DV-692, they are also clones, and being part of the 501st Legion that makes them Jango clones. 71.233.247.70 22:11, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Retail Droids

I noticed that you found the model designation of the retail droids. Where did you locate that information. Also, can you update the infobox to include that designation with the valid source referenced? Gethralkin 14:35, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

  • No problem, I just don't know how to leave a source tag in an article itself. --Sompeetalay 15:58, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

TK-875

He's a clone according to his wizards card. 71.233.247.70 00:36, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Endor commando pictures from Yodapedia

Hey, Sompeetalay; I was browsing through the net looking for pictures of the Endor commando team, when I came across these two pictures that you had uploaded to Yodapedia; Beezer and Junkin. It appears to be an image of the commandos clustered around Luke, and I was wondering if you had the full image at all? Thanks in advance. - Cavalier One 10:15, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Vlix Oncard picture

Hey. I'm pretty sure File:Vlix.jpg isn't actually from the Droids cartoon, but I've never worked out where it came from. I noticed you uploaded a version of the same image on Yodapedia a while back, so can you remember where it came from? Thanks. Green Tentacle 14:41, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

  • You're right, it isn't. The picture is from a proofcard from the extremely rare figure. --Sompeetalay 19:10, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Death of Rogua

  • Rogua was mentioned as going to the Khetanna and never returning from the trip in Gartogg's tale. It said that Gartogg had always wished he had gone on that trip with Ortugg and Rogua, and was kind of sad that Rogua never heard him finally speak in complete sentences. Could you add that to the Rogua bio on YP? Hanzo Hasashi 17:33, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

GA guy/Farrell

Hey, Peet. I noticed this and was wondering if you'd looked into the Green Squadron guy's history versus that of Farrell. The GS guy was an X-wing pilot leading up to the release of the A-wing, not the R-22, which makes a retcon somewhat problematic. I won't lie; I wish you hadn't outright asked Mr. Chee for the retcon. At least, not without giving him all the pertinent information. Please let me know how it pans out so I can do the merger myself (I look after the GS pilot article since I promoted it to FA) if it becomes necessary. Thanks. Graestan 23:00, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

1047

Hi, I never actually read Davin Felth's tale, and thus my only source of information on trooper 1047 is WP, was he indeed one of the troopers who were in Docking Bay 94 during the shootout prior to the Falcon's departure in the story, or is that only assumption? If it is assumption, then what where was 1047 really last seen, in the movie or in the EU story? Hanzo Hasashi 15:32, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

  • I need to find out fist who 1047 is :) If he's in the tale of Felth, there is not yet a source that indicated who he really is. --Sompeetalay 15:50, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Praji

According to your YP bio, his fate is unknown after he was spared by Vader when apologizing for the failure to catch the droids at Mos Eisley. That is not true, as when Vader transferred his Devastator crew to the Executor, Veers prevented Praji from coming along, and Vader focused on finding Luke and was thus too busy to override Veers' decision. Then according to Tinker, Tinker, Soldier, Praji, he went from warlord to warlord after 6 ABY, and became a general, eventually siding with the cloned Palpatine. In 10 ABY, Praji led the Imperial forces that conquered Kaikielius prior to the push towards Coruscant at the onset of Operation Shadow Hand. The cloned Emperor Palpatine then made him the Governor-General of the world, re-establishing the old connection between Kaikielius and the Praji family. Praji soon realized that the new theocracy was not the despotic Empire he had wished to serve, so he retired, but not before seeing to it that Kaikielius was placed under his command as governor-general. Hanzo Hasashi 00:02, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

  • Yeah, I still need to update it. But if you can read Dutch, can't you write in Dutch as well? --Sompeetalay 20:49, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
  • I can't read Dutch, I use an online translator to read. And I was the one who messed up the pages for TK-119 and TK-875 while trying to say they were clone troopers. Hanzo Hasashi 00:02, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
  • Please don't add anything to Yodapedia if you're not fluent in Dutch. I really appreciate your effort and interest but I think we better continue to communicate here or elsewhere :) --Sompeetalay 09:32, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Sneevel Images from .nl Wiki

Greetings, Sompeetalay.

I am trying to FA the article Sneevel. Another Wookieepedian told me about two images that you uploaded to the .nl starwars wiki (this and that). Both of them could be useful in the article I'm working at; but the Wookieepedia would need to know the source of the images. Firstly, if you remember it, could you tell me the source from which the images were taken? Also, would you mind if I upload them and use them in the article? Thank you in advance, --Skippy Farlstendoiro 06:18, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Hi Skippy :) Well I guess they're from the VD [visual dictionary] from TPM and the concept art is from The Art of Episode I. Or maybe the concept came from the Databank when it was still 'in shape'. --Sompeetalay 08:00, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
  • Alquono deg apprefaron to you both. I've checked the Visual Dictionary; full-body comes from there. Sketch, still searching; I must have a copy of the Databank somewhere...--Skippy Farlstendoiro 12:09, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Garon Nas Tal

Where can he be seen in Return of the Jedi? Is he visible on the Khetanna? I do know he is seen looking down when Luke is in the rancor pit from reading your message in his talk page, but where else can Garon be seen in the film? Hanzo Hasashi 02:28, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

  • He can be seen more than once in the movie if I'm not mistaken. If I'm not mistaken - I'm not at home right now - you can see him when Luke falls into the Rancor pit. --Sompeetalay 09:24, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Vacation

best Sompeetalay, when my block is lifed on Yodapedia, I,m already on vacation. There's no internet, so i don't make adjustments and page's to my return at August the 7th (time to return is still not fixed). I want to say that because it looks stupid if my block is lifted and i don't make changes or page's for more than two weeks. --Darth Blazer 11:55, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

  • Na twee weken lift YP de blok op. Wat er daarna gebeurt, hebben wij niets meer mee te maken. --Sompeetalay 17:57, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Gherant actor

Hi, just letting you know that Gherant was played by Pip Miller, not by Jonathan Oliver. I am going to change that on Yodapedia. Hanzo Hasashi 15:21, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

  • Apparently the page is locked to prevent editing, so can you make that change? I'll probably write that Gherant was portrayed by Pip Miller in the BTS though. Hanzo Hasashi 15:24, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

Geonosis Arena Question

Hi Sompeetalay! As the master of source, I'm wondering if you could help me out with something. I want to improve Threepio and Artoo's articles here on the wook a lot, and I find myself stymied on an Attack of the Clones-related fact. Do you know who the Jedi is that deflects the blaster bolts back at Threepio's body, knocking the droid head off of him? He's the guy with the green lightsaber here on www.angelfire.com I can't find a Jedi article with his picture here on the wook. If you don't know, no worries, and thanks for taking the time to read this. Cheers! Menkooroo 06:45, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

  • Hello! To my knowledge, this is one of the many characters that still hasn't gotten his name. --Sompeetalay 07:07, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

Pol Treidum

Apparently the Pol Treidum page on this site says he was an ISB agent by 0 BBY. Is there any canonical proof he indeed was? I looked at the card, and there is no mention of it. Your article on him on Yodapedia doesn't mention him being ISB either. Is that unverified info, such as the previous assumptions that Vandolay and Suba (who didn't even appear in ROTJ) died during the Executor's destruction in the Battle of Endor, as well as many other assumptions Wookieepedia articles make? Hanzo Hasashi 22:12, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

  • I'm not at home right now but the only source that could contain info about him being ISB is the Complete SW Encyclopedia. But I bet this is one of the many assumptions on WP. There are a lot of users who have no idea how to treat sourcematerial and even worse, when you complain about it, you'll be blocked. That's why I hardly care anymore what happens on WP. It's a great website but I'm not Don Quichote fighting windmills :) --Sompeetalay 23:02, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

--Sompeetalay 22:39, March 4, 2010 (UTC)

Chiraneau

Although a long time assumption made on Chiraneau's page on this website, 2008's The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia was the first source to confirm his death when the Executor crashed into the Second Death Star. Hanzo Hasashi 02:48, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

  • Wasn't Chiraneau on the Executor as Piett's personal advisor during the Battle of Endor? Hanzo Hasashi 21:14, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

Zillo Beast

Hiya, I had subtitles on the TV at the time and they seemed to had spelt it like that though I must confess that at times they can be wrong. The names though did sound like the ones I have spelt so far. Hope that helps. Darth Batrus 18:02, April 4, 2010 (UTC)

Yotts Orren

Is Yotts Orren the Nikto who runs away from Luke Skywalker on the Khetanna shortly before Luke blew up the Khetanna with its main gun? Hanzo Hasashi 19:30, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

  • To be honest, I don't consider Yotts a part of the official canon. He's clearly a mistake of decipher because he looks 100% like Klaatu en there was no other Nikto dressed like Klaatu in Jabba's organization. Same goes for Lathe. I consider these two names to be aliases. --Sompeetalay 22:11, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

Dag!

Hoe gaat het? Klow 17:38, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

  • Très bien ;) Nice to see another Belgian on WP. --Sompeetalay 17:45, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

Taloron Hunter armor

Where am I from?

Where am I from?

Hey, Sompeetalay. I figured if anyone could answer this question, you could, so here goes: I've been expanding the article on the Taloron species, and I'm ready to write up the "Behind the scenes" section. I'm pretty sure the image to the right is a concept design for Return of the Jedi, but I've checked all my behind-the-scenes books and media and can't find it anywhere. Do you have any idea whether this image has appeared anywhere else besides the two editions of the Star Wars Sourcebook from West End Games? Thanks for any help! ~ SavageBob 04:22, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

  • Hi Bob. I saw that expansion on the Taloron earlier this week :) I'm pretty sure too it is a concept design for RotJ, but I'm not 100% sure either. Right now, I'm not at home, so I'll need to check that on Tuesday when I can check my books. I can't promise you anything, but I'll do what I can. I guess it's concept for one of Jabba's henchmen, maybe some of his Skiff Guards. You can always mail me as well on sompeetalay@teekay-421.be --Sompeetalay 16:28, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

Visual Guides of starwars.com

Hi! As you surely know it, the online Visual Guides's pictures are not archived by Archive.org. I searched for them on starwars.com, but haven't found them. But the search dropped some of your comments, in which you asked for the Visual Guides to return. Did you find them somewhere else? Do you have a copy of them? I was working on several articles, which were sourced by the Visual Guides, and I would like to check the Visual Guides. I have never seen them. Darth Morrt 22:31, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

  • Yes and that is a true shame. I have the VG archived because I knew something like that could happen. I'll see what I can do with them. --Sompeetalay 08:10, September 27, 2010 (UTC)

Davod Jon

Hello Sompeetalay, I am currently working on Davod Jon as a GAN, and I have read on your article about him on YP that he awaited Vader and Palpatine's arrival on the second Death Star. Does that mean he is also visible during Palpatine's arrival in ROTJ? I had previously thought that none of those Imperial officers' faces could be seen clearly enough to be certain, however I have always found that you were among the better people when it came to spotting minor characters in the movies. As is, all I wrote of his onscreen time in the film was of him awaiting Vader's arrival. Any help would be appreciated. Hanzo Hasashi 20:08, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

  • Well ... let's see. Jon can be seen when Vader arrives, that much is clear. Then, he can also be seen on several photos of scenes that didn't appear in the movie. On one of them he's standing with a bunch of Officers next to Vader. It can be seen on the back of 'The Imperial Sourcebook'. Now, I should double-check it, but I think there are more officers in that picture then when Vader arrived, so it must have been taken when Palpatine arrived. That's why I said that Jon was present during Palpatine's arrival. When the picture was taken right before Palpatine arrived, then Jon must have been present as well. It's not because that scene didn't appear in the final movie, that the picture becomes worthless. --Sompeetalay 21:38, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

Stormtrooper squad

Hi Sompeetalay, do you know, whether the four stormtroopers, who escorted Leia to Vader in ANH are identified? Are they confirmed to be identical to troopers in any other scene? Here they are. Darth Morrt 13:32, October 23, 2010 (UTC)

  • Hi ! None of them have been named and they are not confiremd as being somewhere else on the Tantive IV. --Sompeetalay 17:56, October 23, 2010 (UTC)

Some CSWE info for Yodapedia

Hello Sompeetalay, still working on my over-one-month long projects of Godherdt and Davod Jon, I have also read the Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia entries on both, and it provides more information for both characters. Here are the verbatim entries the CSWE has on both, so you can also add new relevant information for Yodapedia:

Blount

Hello, Sompeetalay!

I'm wondering if you can help me out. I have a random hankering to write up and FAN Lt. Blount. A few years back, I asked at the sw.com forums if it was known who was in the Falcons quad guns during the Battle of Endor, and you directed me to your blog on blogs.starwars.com (I'm Jeff Ferguson at the sw.com forums, by the way). This image on www.hooverae.com that you link to in your blog looks like it's from a Fact File --- do you happen to own that Fact File, and if you do, do you know which number it is? Blount's article currently lists "The Official Star Wars Fact File" as a source, and I'm assuming that it's referring to the image from your blog. If you happen to know where that image is from, definitely let me know! If not, no worries; your blog and your knowledge of source are huge helps to me already. :D Cheers! Menkooroo 06:48, December 18, 2010 (UTC)

  • Hi Jeff. I'm not at home right now, but there is indeed an image from the Fact Files about Blount where he can be seen with Cracken. I have all the FF for I scanned that picture of my blog. I do need to check from what FF this picture came from when I'm home :) --Sompeetalay 14:23, December 18, 2010 (UTC)

Mistaken identity?

I raised a point here that we may have incorrectly identified some characters. SavageBob recommended talking to you about this. Will you weigh in? Flame Deity 00:14, December 25, 2010 (UTC)

  • I gave you my two cents on the issue. You have all the reason to doubt the identity of some of these characters because some of them are very confusing, but I used the 'same' images on Yodapedia for these characters as well. So my final suggestion is let them be like they are now and maybe add a remark 'behind the scenes'. --Sompeetalay 01:48, December 25, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Mistaken identity forum

Hi Sompeetalay, I have seen the forum on mistaken identities, and I still have some questions about the Mosep Binneed vs. Tawss Khaa discussion. Does this mean that Binneed should not be considered the Nimbanel walking around in Mos Eisley after Luke and Ben left the cantina when Wioslea tried to sell them her X-34 landspeeder, and that was instead Tawss? Is so, I will remove it from Mosep's article. I do believe, however, that Mosep must have been the Nimbanel sitting in the cantina, or is that also unverified? Hanzo Hasashi 18:12, January 7, 2011 (UTC)

  • Like I stated before, the problem with Binneed is that the only pictures that have been given to him - if I'm not mistaken - are pictures that are actually pictures used during the costume setting or something like that. You can see those pictures in SW Chronicles. Decipher just created another background for Mosep's card. Regarding Tawss, it's obvious where she appears for that background is not created by Decipher and it's an 'actual' screenshot from the movie. So we can't deny that screenshot and Tawss's appearance. It does sound 100% logical that Mosep could be the Nimbanel in the Cantina, but that's just not confirmed, unfortunately. --Sompeetalay 23:45, January 7, 2011 (UTC)

Wunka

Hello Sompeetalay, I am nominating for deletion, since they are not unidentified, but in fact Leland Chee confirmed one to have been Widdle Warrick, while the second, since I saw your Yodapedia article, is Wunka. For the sources you listed The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, so I assumed that was the source which confirmed it, but have done a request on Forum:Entry requests to be sure. If that is not the source, which source confirmed Wunka to have been the other hijacker? Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi 03:22, January 11, 2011 (UTC)

  • They have been identified. Widdle has been named by Leland, indeed, in an issue of Insider. When that source is listed on YP, I'm pretty sure that it will be Wunka. To be 200% sure, I'll check it when I get home. --Sompeetalay 09:42, January 11, 2011 (UTC)

Dainsom

Hello Sompeetalay, is Dainsom also the Navy trooper seen standing outside the Executors bridge when Vader walked past to discuss a probe droid's findings on Hoth shortly before the Battle of Hoth with Piett and Ozzel? I know he is seen standing outside the bridge when Vader walks past towards the end when the Millenium Falcon escapes from Cloud City. I would believe, since we don't get to view his face, that it is difficult to tell if he is also that guard shown onscreen before the Battle of Hoth. What's your say? Hanzo Hasashi 19:51, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

  • How, I guess that's impossible to tell because we can't see Dainsom's face :) --Sompeetalay 22:50, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

Nho'Apakk

Am I Nho'Apakk?

Am I Nho'Apakk?

Or am I?

Or am I?

Hey, Sompeetalay! I think I may have asked you about this before, but I may have found some more evidence for where the Ewok Nho'Apakk is featured in ROTJ. According to here and here, Nho'Apakk is the Ewok seen trying to trip up the AT-ST, sitting on its foot, during the Battle of Endor. Based on these images, what do you think? Is that him? Compare the film images to the actual action figure, a good pic of which can be found here. ~ SavageBob 04:13, March 7, 2011 (UTC)

  • The problem remains, that there hasn't been any official confirmation, but the Ewok who's hitting the foot of the AT-ST does look like Nho'Apakk for sure. The other Ewok's hood looks too brown, while our subject sports a more greyish hood. Let's try to ask Leland again ... --Sompeetalay 10:24, March 7, 2011 (UTC)

Magaloof's name

Hey, Sompeetalay. You wrote at Talk:Magaloof that the character received his name not in Inside the Worlds of Episode II but in the DVD commentary of Episode II. I just watched through the chase scene with the commentary track turned on, but I didn't hear any mention of him. Are you talking about some other commentary? Thanks for any help! ~ 17:11, April 16, 2011 (UTC)

  • Yeah. His name appeared in the written commentary track you could read when popping the dvd in the computer. I did it once, but I can't do it anymore, since my dvd player in the computer is malfunctioning. The commentary of AotC had lots of new names (mostly in the Outlander) before they appeared anywhere else. --Sompeetalay 23:01, April 16, 2011 (UTC)

Tempest Force

Hello Sompeetalay, were all the Imperial personnel stationed on Endor during ROTJ members of Tempest Force? I am working on restoringGrond (Imperial) to good status, and one of the objections that came up was proof of his being in Tempest Force. Hanzo Hasashi 14:36, May 24, 2011 (UTC)

  • Phew, I think that's impossible to tell. Are there any sources that indicate that he was part of Tempest Force? Do we even know what Tempest Force really is? I just notice that I really need to update this to Yodapedia :p --Sompeetalay 15:30, May 24, 2011 (UTC)

Head-to-Head and Character Encyclopedia

Hi Sompeetalay, on Yodapedia you have updated a bunch of articles with info from both Head-to-Head Tag Teams and from the Star Wars Character Encyclopedia. Some of these characters I have seen that you haven't in any way edited their articles with info from either source, and in some cases, no info from both sources. Does that mean there is no new info on them, since you did not add it? I have started a forum for updates from these sources. Also I do have one more question: on Yodapedia I see you edited Saelt-Marae and added the Character Encyclopedia, but am not sure whether or not there is any new info based on your edit. Hanzo Hasashi 03:54, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

Head-to-Head for Zuckuss and 4-LOM

Do you happen to have the info from Head-to-Head Tag Teams for these two? The Character Encyclopedia is currently on my buying list, so I plan to cover that one hopefully this week. But if I can knock off at least one of these sources, that'd be great. Thanks. Trak Nar 04:04, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

  • Actually, nevermind. I grabbed the weight information off of Yodapedia. Unless of course that book has even more information... Trak Nar 05:05, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

Squalls

Hello Sompeetalay, do you know if Sergeant Squalls appeared as one of the minor Rebel Commandos in ROTJ, or if he's an exclusively EU character? As you can see, his page here lists him as appearing in ROTJ, but has no photo of him. Hanzo Hasashi 17:02, July 12, 2011 (UTC)

  • That's true. He appears in 'GG 5: RotJ' from West End Games, but was never given a 'face' in the movie. Still could be an open option to name one of the many unnamed commandoes. --Sompeetalay 19:34, July 12, 2011 (UTC)

I've seen a ghost! Or rather... I haven't

Hey Sompeetalay. I'm wondering if you can help me out. I've always taken it as a Givin (heh) that Elis Helrot is in A New Hope, but I can't seem to find him. He's at a table with M'iiyoom Onith and Feltipern Trevagg, but the only shot of that table (at 1:53 in this video) doesn't seem to show him. Since that was part of the supplemental shooting, he can't be in the background of any wide shots of the bar. Anyway... I hope I'm missing something, but, to your knowledge, is he definitely in the movie? Menkooroo 06:14, August 17, 2011 (UTC)

  • Actually, that's a very good question. He absolutely is in ANH, but I think he was just offscreen. He was part of the Cantina pick-up shots in LA. There are many pictures of him seated with Onith and Trevagg. I remember seeing a Givin in Galaxy Guide 4, but I didn't recognise him. It was only later that I found out that this guy was in the Cantina. --Sompeetalay 07:20, August 17, 2011 (UTC)

RotJ obscure characters

Hey Sommpeetalay! I'm working on and I need to know if he is in Jabba's Palace in RotJ. I know he is on the Sail Barge, but I'm not 100% sure about the Palace. I'm going to try and look too, but someone told me that you're good at spotting obscure characters in movies. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Cal Jedi 21:47, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

  • Oh dear! The scene you got to check is the one where Luke, Han and Chewie are brought before Jabba and when 3PO talks about the Sarlacc. You will be able so spot Vul Tazaene with a couple of bald guys at his side. I'm not sure if this dude is among them, but it might be worth checking out. Please let me know if you found something (no Probot help allowed) :p --Sompeetalay 23:16, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

More Mos Eisley Madness

Me again. :) Stop by Forum:SH:More Mos Eisley Madness when you get a chance. Leland Chee has thrown a kink into some traditional Mos Eisley character identifications. I think it's his effort to clear up years of confusion created by Decipher, but it still means we have lots of cleanup to do here and on Yodapedia. ~Savage 16:53, December 16, 2011 (UTC)

Marmor

Hello Sompeetalay, does Marmor actually appear in Return of the Jedi? Thanks in advance. Hanzo Hasashi 18:13, December 16, 2011 (UTC)

  • Good question. I've been wondering about him myself for some time. There is a guy in the movie with boxes, but he doesn't look like Marmor. I've just checked it again and I can't find him. I'm sure this guy was on the set but he seems he was offscreen. --Sompeetalay 12:37, December 17, 2011 (UTC)

Dressing?

Hey, Sompeetalay. I'm wondering if you can help me out! I think that you have Dressing a Galaxy --- do you know if there's anything in the book about Sei Taria? If so, is this image or possibly this image in there? Any help would be amazing! Thank you. :) Menkooroo 19:44, December 20, 2011 (UTC)

  • Hi! I do have 'Dressing', but Sei Taria isn't really featured in the book, except for a small picture of her at the index. But, please pay in mind that I don't have the expensive edition that contained (grumble, grumble) extra pages. It might be possible they're from one of those. --Sompeetalay 19:52, December 20, 2011 (UTC)

Tyrant

Hello Sompeetalay, do you know which source identifies the Tyrant's designation? I thought it was an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer, like its article here says, but have as of yet not found the source that confirms it. However, I saw Imperial-class Star Destroyer's article on Yodapedia, and saw that there it is listed as an Imperial II-class Star Destroyer. Looking through the history, I saw you wrote it upon the page's creation. I'm assuming you know the source? I'm working on Cabbel, and that was an objection brought up. Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi 01:23, January 17, 2012 (UTC)

  • I think the source that I used this time was simply the movie itself :) --Sompeetalay 14:26, January 17, 2012 (UTC)

Torent

Hello Sompeetalay, can Torent be confirmed as the Death Star Trooper seen during Alderaan's destruction? IIRC you said a while back he is, though I don't know how that can be determined with that film one's face hardly visible. Thanks in advance. Hanzo Hasashi 05:55, April 17, 2012 (UTC)

Chall Bekan

Hey, Sompeetalay! I have a quick question for you. In your opinion, is Chall Bekan the Morseerian sitting with Greedo in the cantina scene of A New Hope? It's hard to know since Decipher Photoshopped a Morseerian into a Mos Eisley background for the Chall Bekan card. But, then again, there are only two Morseerians in the cantina, and only two named Tatooine Morseerians in Decipher's card game, so it's easy to assume they're the same. What's your take? ~Savage 13:34, May 7, 2012 (UTC)

  • In fact you said what I believe as well. The picture of Decipher does not show us for sure if Bekan is that Morseerian, but you can't see any other Morseerians in ANH, so he has to be Bekan. Unless proven differently, I presume that he's Bekan. --Sompeetalay 13:38, May 7, 2012 (UTC)

Tyr Taskeen or Duron Veertag?

Over at Green Tentacle's talk page, we've been discussing the identification of a close-up shot of one of the Yavin Celebration extras as being either Duron Veertag or Tyr Taskeen. He's done a pretty careful tracking of who is where, and has come to a different conclusion than you did over at Yodapedia. I thought I ought to point this out, in case you want to fix the Yodapedia article and/or rebut Tent's analysis. jSarek 18:35, May 13, 2012 (UTC)

  • Yes. It's something that I have been wondering about ever since the picture was revealed. The problem is that you can't get a clear view of the faces of either Taskeen and Veertag. Veertag can nowhere be seen in close-up so we have no idea what he looks like. I always though that Veertag and Taskeen really looke alike. So I have decided to change the pictures on Yodapedia, based on the position of the characters during ANH and on other production photos. My first decision was mostly based on the bended position of Veertag's cap, since its hard to decipher Taskeen and Veertag their faces. --Sompeetalay 20:27, May 13, 2012 (UTC)

Nho'Apakk

Hey, Sompeetalay! Hanzo Hasashi noticed that you've updated the [4] page on Yodapedia with some new images. Where did you find the pictures, both the one of him loading the rocks and the one with the movie slate? Also, do you know for sure that's Nho'Apakk? I wonder, since that Ewok has striped fur, but the toy doesn't have any stripes. What do you think? Thanks, ~Savage 20:59, November 24, 2012 (UTC)

  • Leland stated once (on Facebook it must have been, since we cannot reach him anywhere else) that an Ewok using a slate for 'Blue Harvest' was the one Hasbro used as the model for Nho'Apakk. The Ewok loading the catapult is the Ewok holding the slate. Justin Gann discovered it and I thought it fit together like the pieces of a puzzle :) --Sompeetalay () 21:19, November 24, 2012 (UTC)
  • Hey, I saw your note on Facebook. That's great that we have official confirmation now! I'm trying to update the article on Nho'Apakk here, but I wasn't able to find him in ROTJ. Which part of the Battle of Endor did you spot him in? It looks like he's loading rocks onto a catapult in the NL version of the page. Is he one of those Ewoks from the catapults scene? I probably just need to look again in slow motion... :) ~Savage 15:55, February 2, 2013 (UTC)

Unidentified Kajain'sa'Nikto (Jabba's Palace)

Hi Tim, I only just found out about Yodapedia. Even though I remember you from the old days on the StarWars.com boards I don't know how I've only just found out about it. It's fantastic! Anyway, would you have any idea who the Kajain'sa'Nikto pictured here is? Rokkur Shen (talk) 06:26, February 20, 2013 (UTC)

Murttoc Yine

Hello Somepeetalay, Hanzo Hasashi informed me that you let him know back in the day that Murttoc Yine appears in Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, Second Edition. I can't seem to find where, however. Do you happen to know which page? I've noticed that the Yodapedia's Murttoc page does not mention this source at all. Thanks. And props to your latest blog posts over on starwarsblog.starwars.com. They've been a good read! Bo Shuda (talk) 07:02, September 3, 2013 (UTC)

  • Hi Bo. Thank you about the nice comments :) Let me check this again. I think it either goes for Thul Fain or Yine. One of them can be seen on a picture with Sy Snootles in front, but I do believe it's Fain. --Sompeetalay () 08:02, September 3, 2013 (UTC)

  • Well done. Now we just need the left one, which could be Yine. I guess Fain is becoming more an issue than Yine, now :p --Sompeetalay () 08:44, September 12, 2013 (UTC)

Fud Sang and Slide Paramita

Hello, I've recently been working on the articles for Slide Paramita and Fud Sang, two racers from that wonderfully old yet still fun Podracing game for the N64. I've always wondered about some of the edit wars behind Paramita's species page, Ciasi, until the species was later canonized with the CSWE. I didn't find anything out until recently after vamping up the Fud Sang article did I find the reason why Sanhueli was removed as his species: looking through the history for , I found a blog article that circled back to you. Ciasi and Sanhueli are both mentioned in here, as well Sang's homeworld of Hueli IV. Now, Slide Paramita was mentioned in the old Databank entries, and I've found what looks to be concept art for Fud Sang from TPM (Standing tall... er... small, next to Ody Mandrell), so I can only assume then that he too was a part of the early TPM production. According to your blog article, all of those new Racer characters were a part of the film before being dumped (Also, while I am unable to access it, a very old Databank entry seems to carry art for Paramita, under the name Mars Guo. All I can see in the thumbnail is Guo's clothes, so I really can't tell if Paramita was once Guo or not, or rather, if Guo was Paramita). I guess what my question is, where did that information come from? An old script? Paramita's background seems to be canon now, but what about Sangs? Is there a canon source I could source from, or something that can be used? Or will we just have to wait until something else comes along and either reuses those names or make up new ones for Sang's history? --Clonehunter 21:06, October 15, 2013 (UTC)

..Damn, that was lengthy.

  • Yeah, it was :p I'll have to check this out. That blog goes back many, many years and I'm rather busy at the moment. I do believe that indeed all the names of the Podracers were once part of TPM, but some of them were used in the Racer games. My co-admin and co-author on the Official blog has recently received the 'Racer's Revenge Game Guide', so will ask him about the info in that book. I'm not sure what info WP has about these guys, I think I did their articles on Yodapedia, so I hope I didn't make any serious mistakes with them :p --Sompeetalay () 07:46, October 16, 2013 (UTC)
  • Well, of course, whenever you can find the time. I'm not sure if RR would have anything on these guys, as none of the "original" Ep 1 Racer characters appear in it, and only about half of the film characters appear. And according to some currently unsourced information, the character names and species names are all anagrams for things like Anubis or Andre Kirk, two examples pulled from Knire Dark. --Clonehunter 13:09, October 16, 2013 (UTC)
  • Hey again, I was wondering if you ever did find something to back up Ciasi (Before the Encyc) and Sanhueli from the old Source Blog, as too why those names wer eincluded, or if they were just made up on the spot for the article (Begs the question as too why Navior and Toy Dampner did have Species mentioned yet either. I was gonna dig through some of the old TPM scripts (If I can find any) and see if they contain anything (Or expand on the Databank information). Even if Fud Sang's homeworld and Species weren't ever canonized, it'd be useful BtS information that they perhaps once had some background (And that it could be sourced!) This mostly applies to Fud Sang, as opposed to Paramita, as Ciasi has been canonized. As for the Racer Revenge information, we can leave that out for now. I talked a little with Andre Kirk, and I was gonna shoot him a bit more (emails) on RR, but then I noticed his name on some Rebels artwork, in which case he may a bit a busy, so maybe I'll hold off on that, probably after the show launches. --Clonehunter 04:06, January 12, 2014 (UTC)
  • Hey, Tim! Forgive the intrusion. Unfortunately, we seem to be in a situation where the only source we can find to source these species names to is your blog (unless you can remember where you got the names Ciasi and Sanhueli from originally). I, too, tried to fire up the Episode I Insider's Guide, and I can't get it to run on my PC either. :/ But I just want to confirm: You did NOT make up the names CIasi and Sanhueli, did you? They were production names from TPM that you ran across somewhere? Once we establish whether they were your names or Lucasfilm's names, we can make a stab at sourcing these articles' BTS sections properly. ~Savage 12:14, January 13, 2014 (UTC)
  • A lot of cool concept art for the racers who were actually in the film. :P Nothing about our buds Slide and the wabbit hunter. Interestingly, despite the fact that the old Databank used Ody Mandrell/Fud Sang concept art for the Ody mandrell page, that art doesn't appear in the Insider's Guide, and oddly enough, there's barely anything for Ody at all, despite appearing a lot more than the other racers (Even getting a toy during the film's original run!). The Mars Guo/Slide Paramita picture from the Databank is missing too, strangely (Though I don't know if that 2001 Databank entry was a Slide pic or not, as the thumbnail only showed the uniform and hands, which were definitely Slide's). Oh, interesting though unrelated, Wan Sandage and Neva Kee had their names swapped during production, as evidence in the concept art for them. Kee was even a Senator design at one point I think. I'll have to keep digging, as there is a lot. Little disappointed there isn't one single gallery of art, though. Though, you don't happen to have that Art of the Phantom Menace book by chance, do you? --Clonehunter 17:56, January 21, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Infinity and LEGO

Thanks! When I saw you mention on Twitter that you were starting a new article I'd hoped it was going to be helping identify these characters, I look forward to reading it. Sadly Quinar is one of the few that I've had absolutely no luck spotting, I've scoured every Jakku scene and even all of the Resistance and Kanata's castle scenes just in case his game placement is misleading, but still nothing. Given that he's a fairly distinct looking alien I've wondered if perhaps he didn't actually make the final cut? I was considering tweeting Pablo to see if he knows, but only recently asked him something else and was going to wait so I don't badger him too much. Have you had any success spotting Juhrah Yani, Mon Tatth, M6-15R or Omarlin Fisker? I also can't decide if Divis Scaldz is meant to be the guy behind Rey while she fights Unkar's thugs, the facial hair doesn't quite match. Ayrehead02 (talk) 09:14, July 6, 2016 (UTC)

  • Hi! Quinar has been used, SG has a promotional picture of him, but they can't share it. He looks like a thin Wookiee. I believe he could very well be another Zuvio (or even worse). Mon Tatth is another guy that I can't seem to find. There was a spy picture of a black woman with a similar headdress, though. I haven't been able to find any of the other guys :( I wonder why they picked these background characters, while there are still so many unnamed from Maz' Castle. So you think Sumistu is the woman on Starkiller Base? I guess she almost must be (can't remember any other dark skinned First Order officers that can be seen clearly. Any ideas about C’ai Threnalli & Lt Wright? These last three are from LEGO TFA. --Sompeetalay () 09:44, July 6, 2016 (UTC)
